Excuse Not-Monday MEme

Well this week Supah and Mommybrain are doing an excuse note for why we aren't doing the Usual Monday MEme.  This sounds easy enough but now that I have sat down to write it I am not sure what to write about or what kind of note I want to make.  So here goes nothing. . .

Margaret will not be attending work today because she is in jail for stealing cat nip for Elinore.  We will keep you updated when we know anything more.  We are not going to bail her out because she would just go and do it again.

Thanks and sorry for all the trouble

Aleta

There is my excuse note!!!!

The 26th-Thanksgiving And My Birthday

Well the 26th was my birthday and Thanksgiving.  It was a good day and it was also stressful because I was going to go to dinner at my Dad's house and it was the third time I had met with him.  So I started out the day bright and early because I could sleep so I got up and just relaxed most of the day.  We went to my Dad's about about 12:30 or so.  When we got there we just looked at my baby books that I had brought and then we ate.  After that we just watched football for awhile.  I got two sets of flowers for my birthday this year which was really nice and unexpected.  When my husband came over in the morning he brought me roses and my Dad and Heather brought me three Gerber Daisy's.  All in all I think it was one of my favorite birthdays.  It was nice for my husband to meet my husband.  The other times when I met with him my best friend came with me.  It seemed like they all got along which was a great thing and made it less stressful for me.
Today is Black Friday and my Grandma and I went shopping and got a few things.  I ordered my new lap top online yesterday so that I wouldn't have to fight crowds to get one.  I had to pay shipping but it was worth it because I didn't have to get in a fight to get one this morning.  I am super excited and I can't wait until it gets here.
I hope everyone had a great Black Friday!

The 25th

Well it has been a long couple of days that is for sure.  It seems like this time of year gets so busy and I get so tired so quick because of the MS and what not.  Well where to begin. . . it seems like so much has gone on that I am going to just go by events and this may turn into a few post because I don't want it to be super long or anything.
I am going to start with the the day before Thanksgiving.  I had to work this day but the owner let us go at about 3:30 so we got out of there really early which was nice that is for sure.  It gave us a jump on the traffic.  After work I hung out at Misti house until it was time for my surprise.  Josh didn't make it in time for it but he did make into to town that night.  Anyways my surprise was getting my nails done!!!  I have wanted them done for awhile but I haven't wanted to spend the money to get them done.  So he had Misti go with me.  She stayed for awhile and then she had to go so she could help her mom make pies for Thanksgiving.  Here is a picture so you can see what they look like.

It is hard to tell but they are red on top with a silver fade.  I did them these colors for Christmas and News Years.  Also while we were at work we decorated cookies to look like turkeys.  They were super fun but time consuming.  We didn't know if we would have time after work so we did them during work because we had nothing better to do.  Here is a couple of pictures of them so you can see what we did.  If you want the recipe let me know and I will send it to you.

They were fun and they were a hit at my dad's house.

Tomorrow I am going to write about Thanksgiving and my birthday!

Hope everyone had a great turkey day and remember how much we have in this country to be thankful for!!!!

I Am Thankful For. . .

Today's MeMe is a about what I am thankful for.  This is an easy one or at least that is how it seems but I have been trying to work on it for two days.  I will write 4 things down and then I erase them because I am having a hard time figuring out what are my 4 top things that I am thankful for.  I am going to write down 4 things and they may or may not be my most important things.

No Letters

Friday is finally here and for the first time in a few weeks I didn't write my letters.  I just don't feel the motivation to write them and it didn't help that when I wanted to write them the phones and internet stopped working at work.  So now I don't if I am going to write my letters or not.  I will think about it on my way home and we will see how this post ends up being!

Well I am home and I still don't feel like writing letters so this is it for today.  Not much to say today!
Hope you all had a great Friday!

Thursday Update

It is Thursday and I am so glad for that!  This week has gone fast but it has also been busy and I am tired of always being busy but like I always say it could be worse.  I could not have a job and looking for one.  Anyways I had a doctors appointment yesterday.  She gave me a sleeping pill.  I am going to get it filled this weekend and I will let you all know if it works or not.  God only knows that I really need to sleep.  I will go for weeks withjust only a few hours of sleep and it is really starting to catch up with me.  I wish they could really figure out what is wrong with me so that I can try and fix it so that I can get normal sleep with out taking any pills.  I am going to hope and pray that I will someday get to that point.  This is a short post because I am running out of things to say.  So until tomorrow I hope you all had a great day and have a great Friday!

    1/2 boy 1/2 man
You just won't be able to stop yourself.

The average age of the military man is 19 years.
He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who,
under normal circumstances is considered by
society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind
the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old
enough to die for his country. He never really
cared much for work and he would rather wax
his own car than wash his father's, but he has
    never collected unemployment either.

He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport
activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and has a
steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when
he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away. He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and a 155mm howitzer.

He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he
was at home because he is working or fighting
from before dawn to well after dusk. He has
trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for him,
but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and
reassemble it in less time in the dark. He can recite
to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or
grenade launcher and use either one effectively if he must.

He digs foxholes and latrines and can apply first aid like a professional.

He can march until he is told to stop,
or stop until he is told to march.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation,
but he is not without spirit or individual dignity.
    He is self-sufficient.

He has two sets of fatigues: he washes one and wears the other. He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry.

He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never
to clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend
his own clothes, and fix his own hurts.

If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you
are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition
with you in the midst of battle when you run low.

He has learned to use his hands like weapons
and weapons like they were his hands.

He can save your life - or take it, because that is his job.

He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay, and still find ironic humor in it all.

He has seen more suffering and death than he should have in his short lifetime.

He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and is unashamed.

He feels every note of the National Anthem
vibrate through his body while at rigid attention, while tempering the burning desire to 'square-away ' those around him who haven't bothered to stand, remove their hat, or even stop talking.
In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from home, he defends their right to be disrespectful.

Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy. He is the American Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years.

He has asked nothing in return, except
    our friendship and understanding.
Remember him, always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with his blood.

And now we even have women over there in danger, doing their part in this tradition of going to War when our nation calls us to do so.

As you go to bed tonight, remember this shot. . ..

A short lull, a little shade and a picture of
    loved ones in their helmets..

Prayer wheel for our military... please don't
break it Please send this on after a short prayer.

    Prayer Wheel

'Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.'

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our ground troops in Afghanistan , sailors on ships, and airmen
in the air, and for those in Iraq , Afghanistan and all foreign                countries.

    There is nothing attached...
    This can be very powerful....

Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Coastguardsman, Marine, or Airman, prayer is the very best one.

    Do You Believe In Magic

I was reading my comments and one of my readers left a comment on my blog and told me I should check out her MeMe's and since I love doing them I checked them out and this was the one for day so I figured why not and it will let some of you in on a little bit about me!

    1. Tell us about your superstitions. Do you have any? Do you "x out" black cats on the windshield of your car, avoid cracks in the sidewalk or practice other rituals that make you feel safer?  I don't have any rituals but I sure do have superstitions that is for sure.  I hate Friday the 13th and I also have to keep pictures of Jesus around to try and keep most of the spirits away while I am at home.
    2. Has anything paranormal ever happened to you that you can write about?  I have seen and heard spirits most of my life and it is getting "worse" as I get older.
    3. Have you ever had a near-death experience? No I haven't had one but I think it would be neat to  have one!
    4. Pheromones...aka "love fireworks" (I think I remember those)...are a force to be reckoned with. Do you believe that two people can have an uncontrollable chemical reaction to each other? How do you know this to be true?  I do because I have seen it with my best friend and her boyfriend.  There are a lot of things out there that no one knows about or how things work.
    5. Do you believe that modern day witches can put spells on people? I am not sure what I believe on this subject.
    6. ESP! What do those letters stand for in your life?  They mean a lot of things to me!  More and more every year as I get old and have more experiences.
    7. Do you ever hear strange noises in your house? I hear and see strange things all the time.
If so, what do they sound like? It really depends but most of time it is people walking around
    8. Tell us about a time you "knew" something was going to happened before it did. Are you one of those intuitive types or do you know someone who is ? Do tell.  I am at time but my best friends boyfriend is really good at it and he is a lot more gifted than I am with a lot of spiritual things as well.
    9. I'm a tad gifted in the dream department. Really. Sometimes my dreams are prophetic and come true. It can be a blessing and a curse. Has this ever happened to you? If not, would you like to have this gift? (Be careful what you wish for. It can be freaky at times.)  It hasn't ever happened to me but yes I would love to have it happen.  I would rather have that happen then being able to see spirits.

    Another Damn Tuesday

Well it is Tuesday and I have decided that I hate Tuesdays.  I am trying to find something positive about them but I can't seem to find anything.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.  I guess one good thing is I can be random and this is always the easiest post all week for me to write that is for sure.  So here goes the randomness that is in my head all the time!

      MEme Monday-Super Hero

Well it is Monday and that means it is time for Monday MEme with Supah and Mommy Brain!  This week is is all about being a super hero or a spy!  I have listed their prompts below but they also said that we could mix and match to make one that we liked if we wanted to!

Tell us about a time that you pulled off a MISSION that seemed IMPOSSIBLE.

Tell us about a time that you tapped into your inner SPY self.

Tell us who you'd like to SPY on  for a day and why!

What would your spy name be? (Makes me wonder ... is that like a stripper name?)

Tell us which Spy Hero you love and why you'd make a good sidekick.
      • James Bond
      • Jason Bourne
      • Matthew McHey Hey   fine  * pout face
      • The Mission IMpossible Guy:  Ethan Hunt!
      • Get Smart Dude
      • Austin Powers

You may re-work it however you'd like. :)

Think on it and come back Monday to Link up!

I found this neat name generator and this is what it says my spy name is!

I don't know that I would like to spy on anyone.  I would love to be a fly on the wall though so that I could see and hear what some people do when they are behind closed doors.  I guess that could be spying of sorts.  Well anyway I am dying to be a fly on the wall and hear what goes on in my own house when I am working and what not.  I think it would be interesting to see what everyone does all day and what they talk about.  I know I am amazed at times while I am here and can listen to everything that they say I wonder what they really talk about and what they really think.  My family has a really hard time of telling people what they are really thinking most of the time so I would love to know what they really are talking about.  I also would really love to know what they are really thinking so I guess I really just want to get inside there heads and see what is going on.  I would love to get into the heads of other people and see what makes them tick.  Wouldn't it be interesting to see why people do what they do.  I think it would be the most interesting thing in the whole world.  Anyways that is who I would like to spy on or be their fly on the wall!!!!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

      Saturday & Sunday Football

UPDATE # 2:   OMG!!!!!!!  I can not believe that we pulled it out in the last seconds of the game!  It was great and I am glad that I couldn't fall asleep!  It was a great game and a great end to Sunday night!!!  I will always remember this game!

UPDATE # 1:   Well the game still isn't over but lets just say that I don't know if my Colts are going to pull this one out.  I am going to try and go to bed so I will post the final score and final thoughts tomorrow.  Lets just say I am not impressed at all.  Even my player isn't doing that well.  I am holding out hope that we will pull it out.

ORIGINAL POST:  Well it was a rough week for both of my college teams.  BYU pulled it out but Utah couldn't seem to get anything good going.  They got four touch downs but from the beginning TCU dominated on the field.  It was hard to watch them get the shit kicked out of them but I have to give prop's to the Utah quarter back.  Even though he didn't do that great he never gave up and kept trying.  He got hit pretty hard a lot of times but kept on trying.  All I can say is that he has heart!!!!!  As for BYU they should have done tons better and if it hadn't been for the poor New Mexico kicker they would have lost the game.  It was a big joke watching them play to say the least.  It is going to make for a interesting game when they play each other.  I am not sure who will win it.  All I can do is wait and see.

Now the Colts play tonight so I will be sure to update you all once that game is over.  They are playing New England so we will see.  I can tell you that my husband bet against them so they better win so that he will lose!  When he bets against my team I always want him to lose and so far I have been right every time!

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday and has had a great weekend!

      Letters, Letters & More Letters

      Letters of Intent

      Dear So and So...
Well it is finally Friday and that means it is time for Friday letters.   This is such a great stress reliever and it is really fun!  You all should follow along and grab the buttons off of 3 Bedroom Bungalow & Foursons and write your own letters.  You will feel better after you write all that you want to!
      ***********************************************************
      Dear DH,
You got me sick and now I am going to pull your head off and kill you!  I mean come on you say you are too sick to come to work and yet you won't go to a doctors???? I mean come on it isn't brain science or anything.  If you can't come to work then you better drag your ass into the doctors and figure it out!
      Thanks,
      Pissed off co-worker.
      ***********************************************************
      Utah Weather,
You totally suck ass!  Why in the hell do you have to snow on Saturday.  I mean come on there is never a reason to snow in the valleys.  Snow all you want in the mountain but leave us alone down here!
      Margaret
      ***********************************************************
      Dear "Cubs",
Please stop the fighting over the bed crap.  It is big enough for all of us I promise.  If you two keep it up I am going to murder both of you or you will be spending your nights in the cold garage with out a spot warm bed to lay on.
      Mom
      ***********************************************************
      Dear Lachelle,
You made it!!!!!!  I am so proud of you.  I knew you could do it.  Now it is time to move on to the rest of training and finish that with flying colors as well!

      An Update On Me

I can't believe it is already Thursday.  It seems like I just started the week but I am glad it is because I think that I am getting sick.  So I hope if I am that I can get sick this weekend so that I don't have to work and be sick at the same time.  All I can do is wait and see what happens.  I know if I go home and drink a tea that my grandma makes I will get better so I think I am going to do it even though it makes me wanna gag and throw up.  I will drink it and hopefully get rid of whatever I am trying to come down with.
Monday and Tuesday of this week were totally busy for me and know it has totally slowed down and I am totally bored.  I hate how that tends to happen here.  I am either overwhelmed or totally bored.  There is never a happy medium.  I guess that is how it is always going to be but I am still going to complain about it because well it totally bugs the hell out of me.  I barely had time to post on Monday and Tuesday.  Oh well like I always say at least I have a job!
It is supposed to snow this weekend and I am totally not looking forward to that at all.  I hate the snow and I am so not ready for it come and the thought of driving in it again totally pisses me off!  I really think I need to move to somewhere where it won't ever snow.  I am hoping we don't have a bad winter because I don't wanna see how bad my car really will do in lots of snow.  I lucked out last year because we didn't have a bad winter at all but I don't know if I am going to be that lucky this year or not.  We will wait and pray that it isn't a bad winter at all.
The girls are hating the fact that it is getting so cold outside.  They are always getting mad that I would let them go outside when it gets to be too cold for them.  Elinore has started this really weird habit of not going to sleep at night until her whole herd is home.  For example the other night my grandpa was having a sleep study done so he wasn't home that night and she was restless most of the night like she was waiting for him to get home.  Who knew that a cat really cared if people were around or not.  Hell most cats just deal with people because we feed them.  Guess she really cares if people are home or not.  I have decided that I have the two weirdest cats that there are out there.
Josh is supposedly going to be home for my birthday but we will see if that happens or not.  I can never really plan on him being here or not.  It is just something that I have learned to deal with.  The only thing that is going to bug me is he thinks it is just going to be me and him the whole time he is home and well that won't happen because I am a home body and we both are totally broke so we will be at my Grandparents house and hell it is Thanksgiving weekend which means shopping like a mad woman on Friday!!!!
For Thanksgiving this year I am going to go over to my dads.  I am nervous for this because well I don't really know him yet and it will the first time my husband has met him.  I have met with him two other times and it was when my husband went crazy last year and thought he wanted a divorce.  So it should be interesting to say the least.  You never do know what my husband will say or do.  I am sure he will love a new group of people to tell his stories to.

How has everyone's week been so far????  What are your plans for this upcoming weekend???

Hope everyone is having a great day!

      Answer To A Question

So I asked you all to give me questions and I would write the asnwers to your questions in a post.  Since I only gone one this should be a really easy post to write!
Tracie wanted to know about my funniest childhood memory.  As I was sitting and trying to think of one the only thing that pops into my head actually happened to my little brother but I was there to witness it and it was one of the funniest things that I have ever seen.  To this day we still tease him about it and now we can all look back and laugh about it.  My grandparents who raise my little brother and I were out of town so we were staying with my Grandma's sister.  We were playing and my little brother got a sliver in his hand.  They were trying to get it out and he was crying and creating quite a scene.  I think they were trying to get it out with a needle and it wasn't working and it made him scream even louder.  So my uncle who likes to tell jokes and play pranks of people said he had something that would get the sliver out.  So he walked in to the kitchen and came back with a butchers knife.  I have never seen a little boy run so quick.  He ran across the street and refused to come back until my uncle left!  My little brother really thought that he was going to cut his finger off.  Just writing this made me laugh!  That is the only thing I could think of!  So let me know if you have anymore questions or what not!  Any question that gets asked will get answered!

      Veterans Day

Every time I see this I want to cry!  I think we should always take time to remember those that serve and those that have died while serving our country because of them we have all that we do.  Even if you don't agree with the wars you should still support our servicemen that are out there fighting for something they may or may not believe in themselves.

Thank you for all you do for us!

      Random Notes On A Tuesday

      randomtuesday
Well it is Tuesday and we all know that means!  The day I can be totally random and get away with it!  So with out anymore talking lets get into the randomness that is my life.
      • I am so tired of rude customers.  Why in the hell does every person that calls me today have to be an asshole? I mean come on it isn't my fault that the salesmen here don't return calls at times.  Yell at them not me!
      • I am so tired of dealing with the damn health insurance issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that is all I have in me today.  Lets just say today has turned into a hell day and I didn't have time this weekend to get this ready so this is all you will get today.  I am going to try and get to the questions sometime this week but we will see how it goes this week.
