May’s Bucket List

May Bucket List

So this week there were 2 prompts for the Writers Workshop that I wanted to write about so I am going to write about one today and then the other one tomorrow.  It is about half way through the month of May and thought that it would be fun to write a May bucket list and then check back in at the end of the month and let people know what I got done during the month.

I also wanted to do this because lately I feel like I am not getting anything done anymore.  It feels like I am always starting things but that I never really get to finish any of them because I have so much going on so my I thought this would be a good way to see what I actually completed in May.

May Bucket List

  • Finish reading 4 books.
  • Post at least 5 times a week on this blog
  • Write reviews on books the day I finish the book
  • Don’t wait til the last minute to read books  that I know have to review the next week or the next day even
  • Figure out what I am going to do with designs for this blog and also for my design site
  • Change the sheets on my bed every week
  • Don’t shop online and/or buy any more app’s for my phone
  • Start saving for a laptop
  • Drink more water
  • Don’t eat fast food more than once a week
  • Have all my blog posts set and read to post the day before they need to be posted

Those are the only things I can think of that I would like to finish this month.  I will let you know how well I do at the end of month!

What is on your May bucket list?

Top 10 Favorite YouTube Channels

youtube

This week for the Writers Workshop I am going to list my top 10 favorite YouTube channels.  This was super hard because I love so many channels so I just picked the channels that I always watch when they have a new video up.

  1. Jenna Marbles-I did a post last year about YouTube channels I loved to watch and this chick was on that list as well.  She is so funny and I agree with so much of what she says.  If you want to laugh go check her out but be warned that she swears tons in her videos.
  2. Daily Grace-I have only watch this lady for a few months but ever since I found her I watch her videos everyday and I have gone back and watched tons of her old ones as well.  She is funny and you never know what you are going to get with each of her videos.
  3. Lisa MarieTTC-This lady is super pretty and even though I have no idea what it would be like to not be able to get pregnant I can’t stop watching her video’s.  She is just starting IVF and I am hooked and I can’t wait for her to get a positive test.  She is so honest when it comes to what she is going through and the costs of IVF and for someone like me who has no idea about IVF it was educational.  Here is the link to the video where she talks about how expensive IVF is.
  4. Grav3yardgirl-I have watch this girl for years and I can’t get enough of her.  Her videos are always entertaining.  If you are looking for someone who is fun and not your typical YouTube person you  need to check her out I know you will love her.
  5. PiinkSparkles-This girls personality is super bubbly and she always puts me in a good mood when I watch her video’s.  She always have fun tutorials using bright colors and she isn’t afraid to be herself.
  6. LaToya Forever-All I am going to say is that this girl makes me laugh.  If you want to laugh you need to check her out.
  7. blndsundoll4mj-I debated whither or not to put this one on the list because she always has such controversy going on but I do enjoy most of her videos.  I wonder at times  what is really and what is fake with her but in the end it doesn’t really matter and she is entertaining to watch most of the time.
  8. Myish-I like this channel because they have different things and it isn’t just one person.  There are serveral different people that contribute and it is interesting to watch most of the time.
  9. ErinandBaby-I have watched this lady since she was pregnant with her first son and she is currently trying to have her 2nd child with her husband.  I just feel like I can relate to her and I always watch her videos the minute I get an email saying that she uploaded a new one.
  10. Annie Gallagher-I started following this lady right before she got pregnant with her twin girls and then she disappeared for awhile because life got crazy after she had the girls but she is back now and I love her videos and she is also someone who for some reason I feel like we could have a lot in common.

Now those are just 10 of the 1,000 channels that I am subscribed to but they are the ones I tend to watch the most.

What channels do you love?

April Favorites

April Favorites

I can’t believe it is already May.  It seems like just yesterday that it was the first of the year.  Lets get right into things that I loved during the month of April.  I only have a few this month because I didn’t try many new things and I don’t want to repeat any of them from last month.  If you want to check out what liked for the month of March click here and it will take you to last months post.

The first thing I have loved this month are playing games on my phone.  I am sure everyone knows that I finally joined the iPhone band wagon and I got an iPhone 5 a few months ago.  Since I have had the phone I spend more time playing games on it then actually using it as a phone.  Some of my favorite games are: Dream Heights, Tiny Tribe, Castle Story, Family Farm & Paradise Cove.

rockstarhandcreme1I also have been loving my Julep Rock Star Hand Cream that I got a couple of months ago in my Julep Maven Box.  I love this lotion for many reasons and one of those is that it is small enough to fit in my purse and the smell isn’t overwhelming.  I have bigger bottles of lotion at home and at work and yet I still find that I am always using this one.  It doesn’t leave my hands greasy or anything like that.

I also have been loving my Belkin iPhone cases.  I have the two that are shown above and I can’t get enough of them.  They are slim which is a great thing because my other cases are bulky and I don’t use them as much as these two.  If you would like to see a post on all of the cases I have for my phone let me know and I will write one.

Those are all of my favorites for last month.  I already have a list of things for May so it will be a longer post next month for sure.

Things I Would Do Differently

Differently

This week for the writers workshop I wanted to write about things I would do differently if I started blogging again.

  • I think the first things I would have to do differently is not care about numbers.  As I look back now I see how much time I spent worrying about numbers and followers.  I spent a lot of time when I started blogging worrying about how many followers I had and the number of comments I would get on posts.  I have since learned that for me watching and worrying about numbers took the fun out of blogging for me so I try not to focus on those things anymore.
  • I also would have picked a name and tagline for my blog in the beginning instead of waiting a few years before I picked one.
  • I wish I would have done more research before I started  blogging.  When I started I had no idea about how big the blogging world was and things like that.  It took me a couple of years before I realized just how big blogging was and where I wanted to go with my own blogs.
  • I also wish I would have spent less time worrying about offending people and more time being true to me and who I am.  I am at a place now with blogging where I try not to offend anyone but I also am not going to not write about something in fear that it will offend someone.

Those are the only things I can think of that I would change if I could start again.

What would you change?

Changes From Last Year To This Year

Changes

This week for the writers workshop I am going to write about what was going on this time last year and what I think of it all now that it is a year later.  I went through the whole month of April and I really only wrote 5 actual posts.  The few other posts I had were reviews of some sort. Here is a list of the posts from last year if you would like to go back and check them out.  I also will list any changes in how I am thinking from last year to this year.

  • My MS Medications– all of my medication are basically still the same and since I am stable there is no reason to change them or to even mess with them.
  • Standing Still– I forgot that I wrote this post last year and to be honest I still feel like I am standing still but I also feel like I am all alone and I know that is because of how I have treated people.  There are parts of this post that are still true and other parts that aren’t because I really don’t have any friends anymore.
  • MS Tuesdays Medications That Don’t Work For Me– nothing has changed with this post because nothing has stopped working for me.
  • How To: Break Your New Cell Phone– lets just say I haven’t broken a phone since this post and I better not break my iPhone or I am going to be pissed.
  • My Top 10 YouTube Channels– this has changed so much so I am going to make another Top 10 because I have some new ones and I think everyone would like.  I still like all the ones I listed but there are some newer ones that I want to share with everyone.

How has your blogging changed from last year to this year?

Headache. . .

headache

Yesterday I wanted to write about something that gave me a headache for the Writers Workshop but I already had a book review that had to be posted that day so I figured I would post this today.  I wanted to write about this because I have had a headache for a month now in fact we are coming up on 2 months with the same headache.  I can’t blame this headache on just one thing so I am going to make a list of things that I think are causing it.

  1. The weather has been super crazy lately and it is always changing.
  2. The fact that since it has been warmer some days my cats have started to shed and I am allergic to them. (This one is my own fault and I know it but they are my kids so I won’t get rid of them)
  3. We are putting in new flooring in the living room, dining room & hallway.  My girls usually sleep on the couch and chair in the living room but since it has been torn up they have been sleeping on my bed almost all night so that is putting tons more cat hair and what not in my room.
  4. My Multiple Sclerosis medication can cause sinus infections and I am prone to have them as well.  I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection but I know that going to a doctor for it isn’t going to do anything so I just take decongestants and wait it out.
  5. Stress from work has also be huge problem lately as well.
  6. I also have been eating too much gluten and I am paying for it big time.  I will do really well some days and then other days and weeks all I want to eat is things that have gluten in them.  I am being kind of stubborn and still eating things I know that will make my head hurt but I am tired of not having what I enjoy.
  7. The final thing that has been giving me a headache  is all of the reading that I have had to be doing because of all the book reviews that I have coming up in the next two months or so.

Those are the things that are causing this almost 2 month-long headache.  I know there are probably tons of other things that aren’t helping as well.

What gives you a headache?
