Monthly Favorites – October 2016

october-2016-monthly-favorites

How are we already at the end of October?!?!?  My birthday is in less than a month, and I am so not ready to be thirty-two yet.  I wish that there was a way to stop having birthdays once you reach a certain age.

Anyway, let’s get on to the things that I have loved from this past month.  This first thing I have loved this month is a song by Shawn Mendes call “Stitches.”  I heard this song on Pandora for the first time this month, and I have it on repeat most of the month.  Here is the music video in case you haven’t heard it before.

I have also been loving the song “Rise” by Katy Perry.  The first time I listened to this song it was a cover of the song Super Fruit.  I will have the cover of it that I loved, and I will also include the video of Katy Perry as well in case you haven’t seen either of them.

I also have been loving these new Mentos that I found this month.  The only place I have been able to find them is at a gas station that I pass on my way to work in the mornings.  They remind me of Milk Duds, but they don’t stick to my teeth like Milk Duds do.

I have also been a huge fan of these freezer meals that I have gotten from the store they are called Evol.  I love them because they have so many different choices.  I had one that was vegan and I had another one that is gluten free.  The boxes are all marked with what they are and they are so good.  They are a little bit more expensive, but I don’t mind spending more on lunch items that are vegan and gluten free.  Here is a picture of one if you are interested in seeing if your grocery store carries them.

The last thing I have been loving this month is the TV show “The First 48”.  I have talked about this show in the past because it is a show I have been watching for years and I am sure I will keep watching it for years to come.  I love watching as the detectives investigate and solve murders.  It is something that has always interested me, and I am sure that it always will.  It is on A&E in case you want to check it out.

Those are just a few things that I have loved this month.  What have you enjoyed this month?

A Few Of My Favorite Songs

A Few Of My Favorite Songs

I haven’t written about music that I love for quite a long time, and I wanted to list a few songs that I am loving.  I used to post songs I loved on Mondays and if you wish to check those posts out you can click here to see them.  Let’s get on to a few of the songs that I am currently loving.

If you click on the title of the song, it will take you to the video on YouTube that you can watch.

  1. See You Again ft. Charlie Puth by Wiz Khalifa.  I loved this song since I first heard it.  I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie, but I do love this song, and it is one of the ones that I put on repeat as I drive home from work.
  2. Love Yourself by Justin Bieber.  I just started listening to this song last week because I don’t follow the popular music anymore, so I never hear about songs until they are older.  I can’t help but sing along with the song, and it makes me wonder what else I have missed.
  3. Time Of Our Lives by Pitbull & Ne-Yo. This song is one that I loved when it came out but I forgot about it until a few weeks ago, and it reminds me of why I love Pitbull & Ne-Yo.  This song makes me car dance because you can’t help but dance when you listen to it.
  4. Black And Yellow by  Wiz Khalifa.  I am adding this song because even though I don’t listen to this song all that often it is one that I will randomly just start singing because it gets stuck in your head no matter what you do or, at least, it does for me.

  5. Big Guitar by Blackhawk.  I didn’t know anything about this song until 2014 when I started to listen to the 90’s Country station on Pandora and once I heard this song I was hooked.  They have such a different sound, and I know that is why I love it like I do.

I am going to stop at five but if you would like me to do this more often let me know and I will do it again.  What songs or artists are you currently loving to listen to?

Musical Monday-Brave by Sara Bareilles

music copy

I did a Musical Monday post last week and if you missed it you can check it out right here!  This weeks I decided to do a post about the song Brave by Sara Bareilles.  This song came out last year but I just found it and I have to say I have had it on repeat because I love the message of this song.

Now that you have listened to the song what do you think?  Do you love what this song says to everyone?  I think people today need to hear this song and the message because there is so much bullying going on and people feeling like they aren’t worth with anything.  If more people tried to do what this song says I am sure there would be fewer people committing suicide.  This post has turned into me basically saying people need to be nice to each other.

Anyway what do you think of this song?  What songs are you loving now?

All Smiles

All Smiles

I was reading a blog post last week by the SITS girls and they listed 28 prompts for the month of February and as I read through the prompts I saw a few I wanted to write about and this was one of them: What made you smile this week?

I chose this one because I am a firm believer that laughing helps relieve stress and for me when I smile I am usually laughing.  I am going to share a few things that made me smile from this past week.

  • My little brothers son is starting to smile and it seems that I am one of the few who can always get him to smile and laugh.
  • My grandma when we went shopping decided that she was going to make flour go all over me because she acts like she is a teenager.  The bag had a hole in it so she pressed on the bag and flour when all over me.
  • Just watching people made me smile because I don’t think people realize all of the crazy & weird things that they do.
  • I loved watching people get offend when they read the hoodie that I was wearing and see their reactions to it.  I was wearing this hoodie because I love the song and I love the hoodie: (FYI: I got the hoodie here if you want to pick one up for yourself)Coldass_Honky_clothing_large
  • I watched this YouTube video that makes me smile every time I watch it.  The ending is the best part of the video and it makes me smile just thinking about it.

Those are a few of the things that made me smile this past week.

What made you smile this week?
