Writers Workshop
This week I picked topic number 3.) “It was as if an invisible thread hooked her to her boy. The thread could go taut or slack but it could never come undone, it could never reach the end of its spool because there was no end; it bound them forever.” What does unconditional love mean to you?
I picked this one because it is easy for me to write about. I placed my daughter for adoption when I was 20 so I think I definitely have a view on what unconditional love is. Unconditional love is doing something for someone else even if it is going to hurt you. I think most parents have this for their children. Even when children mess up and do something wrong. They may be mad and disappointed but in the end they still love you. I say most parents because I don’t believe that my own mother loves me unconditionally but that is another post.
Anyway back to the subject at hand. I love my daughter so much that I was willing to let her go and go to her family. It hurts but to this day I still love her. I can’t wait for when she is older and wanted to get to know me. It will feel so good to know that she can see that I made the best choice for her. I love her unconditional and nothing she could do would change that.

Day 16- Something or Someone I Could Live Without & Writers Workshop
This week I chose #1 which is Dear Mommy and/or Daddy…(write a letter to yourself from one of your children). Since I don’t have human kids I am going to write a letter to myself from my girls(cats). Enjoy! Let me know what you think of it!
Dear Mom,
Sylvia and I have a few demands that must be met or we are going to raise up and have a rebellion. First we need more catnip! We are not getting enough of it a day and it is a total joke that you expect us to share it! You should know by now that cats DO NOT SHARE ANYTHING!!!!!! Hell we can’t even share the bed at night let alone our weed! Secondly we need you to sleep somewhere else so that we can properly stretch out on the bed at night. There is no need for you sleep in that bed. So it would be greatly appreciated if you would relocate to a different spot at night. Lastly we also need you to not wake us up when you get back from where ever you are all day. We need our 20 hours of beauty rest and we don’t get that if you wake us up when you get home!
We would like you fix these problems ASAP!
Love
Elinore & Sylvia

Writers Workshop & Day 10 – Someone I Need To Let Go, Or Wish I Didn’t Know
These are the prompts for this weeks Writers Workshop.
1.) Lou Holtz (don’t ask me who that is) once said, “life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.”
Do you believe this? Describe a time when you feel like you could have responded a different way and produced a different outcome.
2.) I miss the friend you used to be. (The Myth Of You And Me)
3.) The most unbelievable blue eyes you’ve ever seen…
4.) The craziest reason I ever got in trouble as a child.
5.) What would you ask forgiveness for?
I am going to write about #1.
I totally believe this. How you react to situations is much more of life then what happens. Like when I had my daughter it is more about what I did when I was pregnant and what I did after I had her then the act of getting pregnant. Life is all about how you react to situations. There are many ways I could have reacted when I found out I was pregnant and each way would have lead to a different outcome in the end. I chose the path that I thought would be easiest for me in the long run. Everyone reacts differently to situations and they do what they believe is best for them at the time.
Another example would be what happened to a family member of one of the people I work with. Not to get into the whole story the ended up shooting a guy and leaving him paralyzed from the waist down I believe. Now if he had just called the cops he wouldn’t be in jail waiting to get sentenced to go to prison. Now a side note to that is I don’t think the guy should be going to prison but that is a whole other issue. It is always about how you react to situations and not the original situation. You can make your life however you want it to be!

Today’s topic is easy. The person I need to let go of is Pear! Some of you are wondering who Pear is and I am not going to say because that is part of my life I don’t post on this blog. If you are really interested leave a comment and I will explain in an e-mail. As for the husband well I wish I didn’t know him at all. He has really made me go back to the whole not trusting men and thinking they are all a waste of skin and a big waste of my time!
Day 14-Non-Fictional Book~Writers Workshop
This is the last non-fictional book that I have read all the way through. I tried to read The Zoo Keepers Wife but I just couldn’t get through it it. Her writing for me was super hard to get through. I think it was because she spent so much time describing things instead of just telling the story. The only non-fictional books that I enjoy reading are about the Holocaust. For some reason that time period has always interested me. I love to read the stories of the Jews that survived and the ones that didn’t.

One of this weeks prompts for Mama Kat’s Writers Workshop was to list 50 things that I look for in a man. Since I am going through a divorce and what not I figure this would be a fun one to do. I don’t get why they aren’t working harder to try and clean up the mess and stop it. It seems like the government in our country could care less about it. I guess it just proves to me what a waste of a President we have. He is all talk but isn’t really doing anything. They should have started digging a relief well already because as I can see it that is going to to be the only thing that is going to stop the leak. It seems like they don’t really want to stop the leak though. Who knows though.
Those are my thoughts on that situation. I could go on for days about our President but I will save that for a later date.
