The Methuselah Project by Rick Barry was a very unique story. One of my favorite time periods is WWII and I love how this book was able to involve WWII and the present day. This book was so unique and I loved it even more because of that fact. Books tend to follow the same type of patterns so I can usually figure out what is going to happen before the books ends and because this book was so different from anything I have read before I didn’t figure it out until it was ending. There were also parts of this book that made laugh out loud because of how the situation played out. I loved this book and I would recommend it to pretty much anyone because it is one of those books that has a little bit of everything in it.

The Hollow Man by Paul Hollis

The Hollow Man by Paul Hollis was a book that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. I love books like this one most of the time because it makes them super fun to read. I love trying to figure out what is going to happen before the end of the book. If I am being honest I couldn’t figure this book out before it ended and that means I loved it even more. I was drawn to the main character from the first page and I had to know what happened and if he managed to figure out who was trying to destroy Europe. He reminded me of Jack Reacher from the books written by Lee Child’s and since that is one of my all time favorite series of books I couldn’t help but love this book. If you love mystery books than I know you will love this one!

The Truth About Caroline by Randi M Sherman

The Truth About Caroline by Randi M Sherman was a fun book to read. I really enjoyed this story and I am not 100% sure why but I didn’t want to stop reading until I had finished this book. There were parts of this book that made me laugh because I could actually see something like that happening. I loved the parts that had to do with her outfits that her lawyer gave her to wear to court and I wish this book would have had pictures in it because they would have been amazing. This was another new author to me and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the story but after I was a few chapters in I really started to enjoy this book. I really felt like Caroline was a real person and she also seemed like someone who I would love to be friends with. This was a super fun chick lit book and everyone who enjoys chick lit needs to check out this book.

Love’s a Stage by Rene Gutteridge & Cheryl McKay

Love’s a Stage by Rene Gutteridge & Cheryl McKay was a sweet love story. I loved this book because it was super sweet and not only that but it was a shorter book and I love reading shorter books in between some of the more intense books that I have been reading and reviewing lately. I can’t say enough great things about this story. This is the first book I have read by either of these authors and I can’t wait to read more by them because they did a great job of making fall in love with both of the characters and the entire story. If you love romance novels than you don’t want to miss this story.

Francis of Assisi-Quote Of The Week

I love this quote because it is a great way to look at things that you may not think you are able to do. I am trying to just keep working towards things instead of having the mindset that no matter how hard I work I will never get to the place I want to be. I realized that even if I am just taking baby steps I am still moving forward and one day I will get where I want to be.

Lots Of Thoughts

I was going to write something for the writers workshop but instead of doing that I am just going to write some of the thoughts that I have had over the past little while so that I can get them out of my head. I am sure they won’t make much sense but I will try to explain a bit about what and why I am thinking them. Anyway I am just going to make a list of them so you can just skim them if you want to.

The main thing that has been on my mind for the past few months is how both of my parents can write off their own children & families. I have seen that I can do the same thing but I don’t think I could do this to my daughter when she grows up and wants to meet me. I will never truly understand how they can and how I can just turning feelings off for a person and never look back. I do think of people again but not enough to make me seek them out. I just keep on going on and while I kind of understand that with friends I have no idea how a parent can just stop caring about their child.
The next thing that has been on my mind is why people still lie because let me be honest like the quote I posted on Monday people can’t remember all lies they tell so they always get caught. My dad told a few lies about me last year or the year before and since I found that out I have no need to have him in my life. I am sure he will end up alone and sad because he just can’t seem to tell the truth and he hasn’t figured out that he always get caught when he lies. There have been more lies told by him than I could ever list so now I just assume everything he says is a lie.
I have wondered if two people can be so connected that without having talk to each other for 3 plus years that you still know when they are struggling and when they need you or someone to lean on.

Those are the three things that I have been on my mind for that past few months and I hope now that I have written them down that maybe I can stop thinking about them as much.
