Ralph Waldo Emerson – Quote Of The Week

I chose a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson for this week’s quote.

I loved this quote the minute that I read it because it is something that I believe in one hundred percent.  I don’t have a ton of friends and that is because I am at the point where I won’t deal with the crap that people can bring into my life.  My family so much drama that I don’t want to have friends that have drama because I don’t have the patience to deal with anything else.  So the only friends that I really have are family or a couple of other people.  I am a much different person around them than I am around people I work with because you don’t have to be professional around people you grew up with or have been friends with for years.  Those are just a few of my thoughts on this quote.  What do you think???

Martin Luther King, Jr. – Quote Of The Week

This week’s quote is by Martin Luther King, Jr.

I love this quote, and I can’t really say why I like it as much as I do. This quote is something that people need to hear because I know if people lived by this quote than there would be a lot less killing.  I am going to try and love everyone so that I can be a better person.  I also like the idea of putting more love in the world and not focusing on all the horrible things that are going on.  Those are just a few of my thoughts on this quote.

Alfred Lord Tennyson – Quote Of The Week

The quote I chose this week is by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

I really liked this quote because anyone can learn new things, but they also can forget everything just as quick.  It is like when you stay up all night cramming for a test and once the test is over you forget everything that was on the test.  There are so many times that I have done this, and then there are things that I still remember from when I was in middle school.  Those are my thoughts on this quote.

John F. Kennedy – Quote Of The Week

The quote it chose for this week is by John F. Kennedy.

I usually try and write something about why I like the quote or why I agree with it, but I am struggling with things right now, so I am just going to leave it as it is and hopefully next week I will feel better and with have something profound to say.

Anton Chekhov – Quote Of The Week

This week’s quote is by Anton Chekhov.

I really liked this quote when I saw it because so many people are “book” smart and yet they have no common sense and are always doing crazy things.  I don’t have much else to say about this quote so I am going to leave it there but please let me know what you think or what quotes you are currently loving as well.

Bruce Lee – Quote Of The Week

For this week’s quote, I chose one from Bruce Lee.

I really liked this quote because it is so true.  I have always had a hard time admitting my mistakes, but I am working on that now.  I always remind myself that everyone makes mistakes and that is part of how we learn and grow.  I hate making mistakes though because I always feel sorry that I didn’t know how to do something.  I am trying to get better at asking questions when I am having trouble with something instead of just guessing and getting it wrong.  Those are just a few of my thoughts on this week’s quote.

Confucius – Quote Of The Week

This week’s quote is by Confucius.

I chose this quote because for the first time I found a quote that I don’t know if I believe it or not.  Even as I sit here thinking about this quote, I still don’t like it.  I try not to make my life more complicated than it needs to be but there are other people in my life who always have to make my life harder than it really needs to be.

Lyndon B. Johnson – Quote Of The Week

This week I chose a quote by Lyndon B. Johnson.

I loved this quote because it reminded me to stay present in my life and to stop worrying about the past.  2017 has been a super rough year for me so far so I am always having to remind myself to focus on the present.  I am so ready for this year to just be over because it has been super rough and we are only in July.  I am going to print out this quote and keep it at my desk so I am always reminded to just focus on what is going on right now.

What is one way that you use to remind you to stay present and not focus on the past?

Aristotle Onassis – Quote Of The Week

The quote I chose this week is by Aristotle Onassis.

I chose this quote because this year has been super hard for me and I am constantly having to remind myself to focus on the good things that are happening.  There are days when I do a great job of looking at all the good things that are going in my life.  Then there are other days when I have a really hard time seeing any of the good things in my life.  I have been struggling lately with not feeling well and has made me sad and depressed but I am working through it and I know things will calm down and I will be okay in a month or so.
