Kiss The Bride by Melissa McClone, Robin Lee Hatcher, & Kathryn Springer were sweet stories. I am going to talk about each of the three stories in this book. I do want to say that I want to get all the other books in this series and read them. I have enjoyed reading Christian romance novels lately so I am sure that I will love the other books in this series as well. Let’s get on to my thoughts on the three stories in this book.

Picture Perfect by Melissa McClone

I reviewed this story a year ago so you can click here to check out my review of this story. If you don’t want to look at that post, I did enjoy this story, and I can’t wait to read other books by this author because I enjoy her writing.

I Hope You Dance by Robin Lee Hatcher

I am a huge fan of Robin’s books, so I was sure that I would enjoy this book, and I was right. It wasn’t my favorite in this book, but it was a super sweet story. I like the characters in this story, and I did find this book was relatable, and it seemed like the characters could be real people.

Love on A Deadline by Kathryn Springer

If I had to pick one story that I enjoyed the most out of this book, it would be this one. I felt like I was able to connect the most with Mac in this story. I also think that Ethan was my favorite character in all three stories. I have read other books by this author, and I have liked them as well. I loved this book because I felt like the premise of the story was the most believable and if you wanted only to read one of the stories in this book I would tell you to read this one.

Kathryn Springer

Kathryn Springer, winner of the 2007 Write Touch Reader’s Award (long contemporary), grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, plunking out stories, and credits her parents for instilling in her a love of books – which eventually turned into a desire to tell stories of her own.

After a number of busy years, when she married her college sweetheart and became a stay-at-home mom, Kathryn rediscovered her love for writing. An unexpected snow day from school became the inspiration for a short story, which she submitted to Brio magazine. She went on to publish over a dozen more short stories for Brio, but it wasn’t until her youngest child started school that she decided to pursue her dream to write a novel. The Mask by Taylor Stevens wasn’t the best book I have read lately. I struggled with getting into this book. I had a hard time when it came to finishing the book because right from the start of this book I just couldn’t seem to get interested in what was going on. This book is the typical book that I usually love but like I said I struggled with this book. I just couldn’t get into the story, and I wasn’t a fan of any of the characters in this book. I want to check out other books by this author because I want to know if it just was this book that I didn’t like or if it is the author that I didn’t like. If you like mystery books than I would say to check this out and see if it is something that you would like, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me.

Fetching Sweetness by Dana Mentink was a super sweet story. I read this book in about a day because it is a shorter book and it was also an easy read. I did find that I was able to predict what was going to happen throughout most of the book, but that didn’t bother me because I liked the characters in this book. I loved all the crazy things that Sweetness would do throughout the entire book. I am a huge animal lover so when it comes to animals in books they usually end up being my favorite characters in the book. I couldn’t help but laugh at all the animals that Sweetness would bring home with him. My favorite would have to be the first cat he brought home because I could see my cat freaking out if a dog carried her home with him. If you are looking for a light-hearted summer read, I tell you to check out this book because it will leave you smiling. This is also a great book for any animals lovers out there as well.

I am going to be transitioning from what I have been doing for almost nine years at work into a new job so I am not sure how much I will be around. Other than book reviews that I have to be posted on a certain day there might not be many other posts. I hope that I will see you back here next week!

My Favorite Summer TV Shows- Writers Workshop

This week for the writer’s workshop I wanted to share a few of the TV shows that I am currently loving. I always have the TV on in the background when I am home, and I have found a few good shows that I have been totally enjoying this summer. Let’s get right to the shows I have been watching lately.

The first show that I have found and love watching is called Escaping Polygamy, and it is on A&E. It airs on Sunday nights and ever since I found it I find myself binge watching it. A few years ago I read all the books I could find that were written by women who escaped polygamy so I knew once I saw this show that I would love it, and I was right.
Another show I have been loving is The First 48 and it is also on A&E. I am sure I have talked about this show before because I have watched it for years and I will even watch the episodes that I have already seen one hundred times because I find the show so interesting.
Another show that I am loving is Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. I have watched this show pretty much since I have been blogging, and I can’t get enough of it. There is another show on the Travel Channel that I enjoy, and that one is called The Dead Files. I don’t watch it as much because it is at the same time as Lockup, so I usually end up watching Lockup, but I do enjoy it when I watch it.
The last one I wanted to talk about isn’t show but a channel. It is called Investigation Discovery, and I will watch anything that is on that channel. I can’t pick a favorite because as I am sure you can tell I love cop shows and things like that.

Those are a few of the shows that I am currently loving. I have it on ID most of the time because I know I will enjoy any show that comes on. What shows do you love that I should check out?
