One Thing That Drives Me Insane-Idiot Drivers

Things That Drive Me Insane

I am thinking about starting a new post series about things that drive me insane.  I will just post one when something people have done drive me crazy.  Today I want to write about idiot drivers.  As most of you know I live in Utah and the past few months it has been snowing quite a bit which always makes for interesting drives to and from work.  What drives me insane is it is like people forget from one day to the next how to drive in the snow.  I also love the idiots that drive big trucks or SUV’s that think they can drive 100 MPH when it is snowing and the roads are icy.  It never fails that I see them a little farther down in an accident and I just laugh at them.

You would think after driving in the snow for a few days that people would remember to slow down and not follow so closely but they still drive like total idiots and then always seem to act confused when they get in accidents.  I have driven to the job I have now for 6 winters and lets just say that the drivers seem to get worse every year.  I have started leaving my house super early because I don’t want to deal with the idiot drivers anymore than I have too.

What do drivers do that piss you off?

Day 8- A Moment You Felt Most Satisfied In Your Life #30DayChallenge

day 8

Today’s topic is a moment that I felt most satisfied in my life.  As I thought about this topic for the past few days I really can’t think of anything that truly fits.  The one thing that kept coming in my mind was when I placed my daughter for adoption.  Now this was the hardest thing I have ever done but it was satisfying in the sense that I know I did the right thing for her.  It is hard for me to say that because it was by far the hardest thing I have ever done.  That day will forever be the worst day of my life but it also proved that I can do anything that I put my mind too.

I also think that part of the reason that comes to mind is because it has been almost 9 years now and I in a totally different place when it comes to how I look at the adoption and the place I am at with all of it.  That is really the only thing I can think of.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Update on Elinore & Sylvia

So I haven’t written about the cubs in awhile so I figured that I would do an update on Elinore & Sylvia and also introduce them to any new followers that I have that may not know who the cubs are.  I have 2 cats that I have always called the cubs because they tend to follow me around like bear cubs follow their mom’s.  Their names are Elinore & Sylvia.

I adopted Elinore from “No More Homeless Pets” about 6 or 7 years ago.  She was abused before I got her.  She only has half a tail and the pads on her front feet look like they have been burned or something like that.  When I first got her she was super skittish and scared of most things.  She has slowly come out of that but she still doesn’t like feet and she isn’t a huge fan of males.  She also has start to have issues with using the litter box and I am not sure why she is having them so I can’t fix it.

I got Sylvia from one of my brothers ex-girlfriends and she is about 5 years old.  She is by far the craziest  cat I have had.  She hates to be held in fact she pretty much hates to do just about anything when she isn’t doing it on her own.  She only wants to be petted when she says so and at times that isn’t a great thing for us.  She loves to sit on my grandma’s chest and get petted at night and she takes a dime view of you not wanting to pet her when she says that it is time.  She also loves to play.  She would play all day if someone would sit there and play with her feather toy.

Safe In His Arms by Colleen Coble

Safe-in-His-Arms

About

Sometimes it takes a stranger to see you as you really are.
Under Texas Stars, Book 2
Born and raised on sprawling Texas land, Margaret O’Brien prides herself on her competence as a rancher. But her father believes she’s made for more than just dawn-to-dusk work. He wants her to have the love of a good man, to raise children, to build a life. But Margaret gave up such dreams years ago. She’s convinced no man would have her, that the ranch is her life now.
So when Margaret’s father hires Daniel Cutler as a new foreman, she’s frustrated and suspicious. Then an overheard conversation links him with a gang of bank robbers, and she’s downright worried. Daniel swears he’s not involved, but Margaret’s not convinced. She knows the man still has secrets. But would a criminal be so kind and talk so convincingly of his faith? As a series of tragic “accidents” threatens all she holds dear, Margaret must decide what to trust: her own ears, her best judgment . . . or what her heart keeps telling her.

My Review

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the writing and I found that I saw a lot of myself in the main character in the book. The author does a great job of explaining things and keeping the story flowing as well as keep the reader in suspense. I wasn’t sure while reading this one if it was going to work out how I thought it should but I was glad when it did.
