Redeeming Cade by Susan Crawford

Redeeming Cade by Susan Crawford was a great book. I loved Cade from the start of the book and I just loved him even more as the story went on. There was something that I liked about Darby but I wasn’t totally sure about her because of her being a politician and I didn’t like how she acted from time to time. That being said though I could tell she was a good person and I hoped that things would work out for everyone involved in the book. This is a shorter book which is truly enjoyed because I was able to read it all even though I have been super busy with work. If you are looking for super sweet story to read than I know you will love this book.

The Girl From The Train by Irma Joubert

The Girl From The Train by Irma Joubert was a book I knew I was going to like because it takes place during WWII and I love almost all books that take place during that time period. I loved this book because I really loved Gretl from the start of the book. I was amazed at how she was able to go through what she did and still keep going. I don’t think I could do the same if I were in her shoes. I also enjoyed Jakob because of how he treated Gretl and how he was willing to take care of her when he could have just as easily ignored her and let her figure it out on her own. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I know if you love historical fiction books then you will love this book like I do.

The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson

The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson was a good book. This is a retelling of the fairy tale “Rapunzel” and if I am being honest I vaguely remember the story so I can’t really say much at it in that sense but I can talk about the writing and the things I liked about it and the things I didn’t like about it. I really enjoyed the author’s writing and this entire story. This was a quick read and even though it was about 225 pages the reading of it was super easy and light hearted. I loved watching as Rapunzel goes through adapting to a new city along with learning how to read. This story brought the fairy tale to life and made it even more relatable to younger generations. If you love fantasy books than I would for sure recommend this book to you.

Crimson Path Of Honor by M.B. Tosi

Crimson Path Of Honor by M.B. Tosi was so different from anything that I have read before. I have read a ton of historical fiction books but none that dealt with Native Americans like this book does. This is the third book in “The Indian Path Series” but you don’t have to read the other two books to know what is going on in this book. It is the third book but all books can stand alone because they all focus on a different Indian tribe. I love watching and Luci turn into Morning Star after she is captured and taken with them instead of being killed when the other people in her party were killed. This was an amazing book and I am so glad that I chose to review. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series in the future.

Each of the three books in The Indian Path Series focuses on a different Native American tribe during the Indian Wars in the late 1800s, and the lives of fictional characters are woven into the true events. The books can be read in any order as each book stands alone with different characters, tribes, settings, and events in the Indian Wars.

Brainstorm by Robert Wintner

Brainstorm by Robert Wintner was such an interesting book to read. I love the author’s sense of humor and his writing style. I really enjoyed this book as well because it has medical things in it and that is always a great thing because that is the one field that I truly love. I loved that this book wasn’t super long and yet it was long enough so you understand and that it didn’t feel rushed. I loved learning what they went through and how they got through it all. If you love reading true stories than I would recommend this book to you. It is also good for people who are looking into more natural ways of healing your body and what not. It was interesting learning what they did to beat cancer and what not so it would be good for people who are into the more natural ideas as well.
