Saturday 9: Bad Day

1. Is there anything that you tend to do to cheer up when you are having a bad day?
Listen to music or watch movies.  It also depends on what caused the day to be bad.
2.What’s the last card game you played, and with whom did you play?
Probably Phase 10 with Misti and it was probably over a year ago that we played it.
3.What’s the last board game you played, and with whom did you play?
I can’t even remember because I don’t play board games.  I am too competitive and get mad if I lose so it is better if I just don’t even try and play one.
4.What’s the last computer game you played, and with whom did you play?
The last multi-player game I played was probably WOW( World Of Warcraft) and I played it with my brother.
5.Is there somewhere you’d like to visit but have not, and where is it?
There are tons of places I want to visit. I want to see the world and go anywhere and everywhere before I die.
6.Think of your favorite movie (or a movie you really like, if you can’t think of a favorite). Some people say that the reasons you love your favorite movie are related to what you value in romantic relationships. How is this true or untrue in your case?
My favorite movie is Liar Liar and that isn’t the most romantic movie out there but I am so not like them because I am never going to get back with my ex!
7.What physical attributes do you find the most attractive?
I don’t think I have a type of guy but grandma says that I like guys that have the Charlie Brown head.  Other than that I can’t really think of things that I am super attracted too.
8.How many people live in your house? Tell us about them.
There are 4 people and 3 cats.  There is my grandpa, grandma and my little brother.  I am only home at night and on the weekends but even when I am home I am almost always reading, messing around on the internet and/or watching TV.
9. Ever punch someone in the face?
No I haven’t but there have been time that I really want to punch people in the face.

Five Question Friday & My Name


1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it?
I had a blanket that I guess my grandma still has for me.  I don’t have much left from my childhood because my parents moved around a lot and when they would move they would leave everything behind when they did move so I don’t have much before I moved in with my grandparents full time and even some of that stuff has gotten thrown away.
2. Do you dream in color?
Yes- Doesn’t everyone????
3. How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller?
I was 5’4″ but the last time I went to the doctors I found out that I am now 5’3″ :(- Guess I am already getting shorter
4. If you could have anyone’s (celeb or other) voice as the guide on your GPS, who would it be?
My own voice!
5. Do you return your shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot?
I try and return it because it bugs me sometime when people don’t return them and I can’t find a parking spot because there are carts in the parking spots.

Since I have been out of ideas on what to blog about I went to NaBloPoMo where they have a whole list of prompts you can write about.  I went through the list and chose this prompt: Do you like the name you were given? Is there a name that you think would suit you better?  It was the only one that seemed like fun  to write about.

I love my name.  I have always liked it because there was only one other girl with my name so I never had to worry about tons of people having my name.  The only thing I don’t like about my name is the spelling of it.  It is too long and spelled very few people ever spell it right the first time and some even after years can’t seem to get it right.  They always spell it Margret.  I was named after my mom’s mom so one of my grandma’s.  I don’t really know the lady that I was named after because I had only seen her when I was little and I don’t remember her at all from then.

Sunburn

Today for the Writers Workshop I chose to do #1 which is: It was a bad burn. Tell about the worst sunburn you ever received. How did that happen!?!

The worst sunburn I ever had was when I went to Georgia to visit my mom’s dad and step mom in the summer of 2001 with my little brother.  We drove with my grandparents up to South Carolina to meet a couple of her siblings that we had never met because we were raised by my dad’s parents.  So one day my Aunt took my little brother and me to a Six Flags park where we spent the whole day on the rides and what not.  Me being the idiot I am decided that since I had never burned before that I would be okay and I didn’t need to wear sun screen.  Well I was super wrong on that part.  I have only been burnt like that once and I will never do it again.  It was super painful and I was super sick for the next few days.

I looked last night for a picture of it but I couldn’t find one to scan in so hopefully I will have one in a few days for everyone to see!

A Lot Of Random Things

I am going to us bullets in this post because I have a few things I want to write about and I haven’t used them in awhile.

  • First I want to thank all of my followers and welcome all of my new followers.  I can’t believe that I have 130 right now.  I remember when I was just getting into the whole blogging scene and starting to learn about followers and people reading my blog that I had never met IRL.  At that time it was weird to me but I decided why not lets see what is out there and here I am with 130 people reading my blog!  I still don’t understand why but I am thankful for each and everyone of you!
  • I got a new layout and I totally love it!  Jacqui does my makeovers and I totally adore the girl!  She does a great job and made it look so grown up!  Let me know what you think of it.
  • My kids are totally crazy and Sylvia has decided she is top cat even though she is the youngest out of them all.  Go figure.  Last night she was guarding the bathroom and nothing could go in.  It was quite funny to watch her try and beat up anything that tried to enter “her” bathroom.
  • I got the funniest anonymous comment the other day so I figured I would post all of it but the links.  It was so funny I could help but laugh at it.  Here it is:  HELP! I’m currently being held prisoner by the Russian mafia  and being forced to post spam comments on blogs and forum! If you don’t approve this they will kill me.
