The Gift of Christmas Past by Cindy Woodsmall & Erin Woodsmall was a great book.  Right from the start I really liked Hadley, and I felt so sorry for her and the things she had to go through as she was growing up.  I also wasn’t the biggest fan of Monroe because of choices that he made even though I understand why he did what he did.  I am so glad that Hadley came out on top in the end because it really could have ruined her entire life.  I hoped that they would end up together throughout the whole book even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Monroe.  I really loved seeing Hadley grow throughout the book.  I love seeing the characters grow and change for the better as the book goes on.  I loved the writing in this book, and I liked that it is written by a mom and her daughter.  If you love romance books, I would pick this one up and check it out.  If you have read it what do you think about it?

Deadly Proof by Rachel Dylan

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

Deadly Proof by Rachel Dylan was an exciting book.  This book is one that I knew I was going to like just from reading what the book was about.  This book is a genre that I love, and I find that judge books like this one harder than other books because I have read so many.  This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I can’t wait to read more books by her in the future.  I also loved all of these characters right from the start.  This book didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat, but it did keep me interested in most of the book.  There were a few spots where I was bored with what was going on but those past pretty quickly and in the end, I really did like this book.  This book also didn’t have anything that might offend people because it is a Christian fiction book.  I do like to read books like this one because you don’t have to worry about what is going to happen in the book.  If you love mystery books, I am sure you will like this book just as much as I did.

Trying to forget the past, he is hired by Kate to look into the whistleblower’s allegation and soon suspects that the company may be engaging in a dangerous game for profit. Convicted by Jameel McGee & Andrew Collins

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

Convicted by Jameel McGee & Andrew Collins was a fantastic book.  When I read the description of this book, I knew I had to read it and review it.  This book talks about things that most people know is going on but it is different when you are reading a story about someone who lived through it.  It also makes me sad that cops do things like this.  I also know that because I am a white person I have no way of understanding how it is really for other people in this country.  I did love seeing how they both changed throughout the book and I would be lying if I didn’t say that I hoped that Jameel would punch Andrew in the face at some point.  I am glad that he never did, but I hoped that he would go through the entire book.  I think this is a book that everyone needs to read because we all can learn from this story.

About The Book

Speaking directly to recent headlines and cultural tensions, this is the poignant account of a crooked white cop who framed an innocent black man–and how their stories later intersected to show a divided nation a way forward to reconciliation and healing. This revealing story explores racism in small-city America and ultimately highlights the power of the gospel to heal the relationship of two of the most unlikely candidates for reconciliation

Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis was a sweet story.  I was sad that this was just a novella because I wished it had been a full book.  I really enjoyed this story and the characters in this book.  I did feel like this book was rushed, but that always seems to be the case with novellas.  The authors all seem to rush everything, and I wish that they would just make them full novels because I hate them being so rushed but I also understand why it happens.  If you are looking for a sweet Christmas story to read I would give this one a shot and then let me know what you think.  What Christmas books do you love this year?

About The Book

It’s Christmastime again in Heartbreaker Bay!

When Sean O’Riley shows up at the Hartford Bed & Breakfast for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, he’s just hoping to make it through the weekend. What he’s not expecting is to come face to face with the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago—a woman he’s never really forgotten.

The last time Lotti Hartford saw Sean, she told him she loved him while he said nothing. Now, ten years later, she’s just looking for a good time. For once, she wants to be the wild and free one, and Sean – the good time guy – is the perfect candidate.

But as the weekend continues, Sean realizes that after a lifetime of being the hook-up king, he’s ready to find happily-ever-after, and he wants it with Lotti. But will she open her heart to him again? As Christmas sweeps through the little B&B, he can only hope love and magic are in the air.

The Gift by Shelley Shepard Gray

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

The Gift by Shelley Shepard Gray was another great book by this author.  I don’t think I have ever read a book by this author that I haven’t liked.  I really enjoyed the characters in this book and the setting of the book.  I have a couple of the other books in this series, so I really enjoyed getting to catch up with some of the characters along with getting to meet new characters.  If you are looking for books about Amish fiction, I would recommend any of the books by this author.  Even though her books are all in series, you don’t have to read them all to know what is going on.  You are able to just pick up one and start reading it.  I think this series might be my favorite series that she has done so far.  I can’t think of anything that I didn’t enjoy about this book, and I am sure that if you like Amish fiction you will love this book just as much as I did.

The Fabergé Entanglement by Lesley Meryn & Elle Brookes

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from iRead Book Tours in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

The Fabergé Entanglement by Lesley Meryn and Elle Brookes was an intriguing book, to say the least.  I was hooked right from the first page, and I can’t tell you why I loved the book as much as I did.    This book did keep me one the edge of my seat throughout most of the book.  During the first few chapters, I did find that I was getting come of the characters confused, so I felt like I was going back and trying to keep everyone straight but it only lasted for a few chapters and then I was able to keep them all straight.  I love when authors in this genre of books have a woman as one of the leading characters because not many authors do.  I also liked that Saber was a strong woman and able to hold her own when it came to the story.  I wasn’t the biggest fan of Adrian through most of the book, but I love when that happens because it means that the author has made the characters life like and I always enjoy that.  If you love thriller type books than I am sure you will love this book just as much as I did.  They have it rated PG + M, but nothing in this book offend me in the least so I am sure that most people will be okay while reading this book.  If you have read this book what did you think of it?

Sabinne ‘Saber’ Darrieux’s father, the billionaire CEO of Frontenac Global Security has been kidnapped. His ransom is not cash in a numbered offshore account, or a briefcase of Bearer Bonds but something utterly unique, incredibly valuable, and until recently, hidden away from the world.

The kidnapper seems to know Saber very well and knows that the next day, through her work as an elite translator she will be in the same location as the Object. She must steal the Object and deliver it to the kidnapper to ransom her father.

Adrian Steele, a British Intelligence agent has just come off of two harrowing missions. Upon returning to London for a well-earned rest, he learns that his friend and fellow agent has been murdered in Moscow, but not before he made use of a unique Object as a mobile ‘drop site’ for the valuable intelligence he was carrying.

The drop site is traveling from Moscow to England. Steele insists on completing the mission to honor the death of his friend, Gerry Cornell.

At an ultra-chic quasi-diplomatic gathering in a mansion in Windsor, England, Saber and Steele meet and find themselves faced with a powerful, undeniable attraction. But at the moment, this compelling attraction is very inconvenient.

In reality, they are at the mansion to check out the security arrangements — for their own reasons — to steal the Object, a Fabergé egg worth thirty million dollars. But who will get to the egg first?

Fabergé eggs are very famous for their unique surprises. Saber and Steele are about to be very surprised, indeed.

And when Saber clashes with Steele; more than sparks will explode!
