Attracted to Fire by DiAnn Mills reminded me of a series of books that I read years ago. I enjoyed that series so in turn I did enjoy this book. I have always been a fan of books that involve cops or detectives in them and I thought this one was fitting right now because it has to deal with the secret service agents. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I have added her to my list of authors to check out in the future because I know I would enjoy the other books that she has written. If you don’t like super intense mystery books than I am sure you will like this book because it never gets super intense but still has a bit of suspense. I did enjoy this book, and I know that if you love mystery books or Christian fiction than I am sure that you will like this book like I did.

Just A Kiss by Denise Hunter

Just A Kiss by Denise Hunter was a sweet story. This is the third book in the series and the first one I have read in this series.   With that being said you don’t have to read the other books in the series to understand what is going on in this book. I have always been a huge fan of Denise’s books because I love her style of writing and I feel like I can relate to her characters the most. She does such a great job writing contemporary romance, and I am going to go back and read the other books in this series because I enjoyed these characters. I also loved that this book had things going on in it that are happening in our country right now. I was a huge fan of Riley throughout the entire book, and I was sad when it was over because I enjoyed him and saw how things changed for him like the book when on. If you love Christian romance novels then I would for sure, recommend this book to you.

About The Book

Riley Callahan’s plans to reveal his secret feelings for his best friend are derailed when his life is drastically altered in Afghanistan.

Watching the love of his life fall for his brother was enough to send Riley straight to boot camp. But over a year later, he’s officially a marine, and Beau and Paige are no longer an item. When Riley’s tour in Afghanistan is up, he intends to confess his feelings to Paige and win his best friend’s heart once and for all.

But all that changes when an IED takes the life of a comrade and leaves Riley an amputee. Now he’s heading home, injured and troubled. His plans to win Paige are a distant dream. She deserves so much more than the man that’s left. All he can do now is put some healthy distance between them. But upon his return he discovers his family has arranged for him to stay with Paige.

Paige is a nurturer at heart and happy to take care of her best buddy. By all appearances Riley is adjusting miraculously well to his disability. But as the days pass, Paige begins to see that the smiles and laughter are just a mask for the pain he’s hiding. To make matters worse, her job is in serious jeopardy. The animal shelter that she’s poured her heart into has lost its funding, and she has three months to come up with the money needed to save it.

As the weeks wear on, Paige’s feelings for Riley begin to shift into uncharted territory. Why is she suddenly noticing his arm muscles and the way his lips curl at the corners? Will she be able to deny her feelings for another Callahan brother? And will Riley let his heart heal so he can let Paige in?

Loreena’s Gift by Colleen Story

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from iRead in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

Loreena’s Gift by Colleen M. Story was an interesting book. I find it weird that this week I am reviewing two books that have to do with super natural themes when it isn’t a genre I read very often in fact these might be the first two books that I have read like this. This book was interesting in the sense that it had to do with religion and things like that. I didn’t like Saul at all through the entire book. I love when I hate a character in a book because it means that author really made the characters come to life and she made me care about the story and characters. I did enjoy the book but it is one that I feel like I should read again because I almost feel like it missed something. If you love supernatural books that I would for sure check out this book. If you have read it what did you think of it?

Loreena Picket thinks she knows herself. A blind young woman who lives with her uncle, a reverend at a small-town church, she’s a dutiful niece and talented pianist for the congregation.

While her uncle sees her as an angel of mercy, helping usher the terminally ill members of his flock into the afterlife, Loreena has her doubts.

Torn between doing her uncle’s bidding and the allure of the fleeting moments when her eyesight returns on the journey to the other side, Loreena cooperates with her uncle until her troubled older brother returns to town. When she reveals her power by saving him from a local drug dealer, she is drawn into a sinister and dangerous world that will test the true nature of her talent and force her to consider how far she is willing to go to survive.

The Ghostwriters by Mickey J. Corrigan

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Pump Up Your Book in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

The Ghostwriters by Mickey J. Corrigan was a different book for me. That being said I did end up smiling throughout the book because of the author’s style of writing. I loved that the main character Jacy would start “talking” to the reader during the book. I liked that because it made me feel like I was having a conversation with her and that made the book even more real to me. This was a shorter book, so I was able to get through it pretty quickly and this is one of the few books that I wish was longer because I fell in love with Jacy from the start and I was sad when the book ended. I am sure that this is a book that most people would enjoy even if this isn’t your favorite genre of book. If you have read it what did you think of it?

Trust My Heart by Carol J. Post

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

Trust My Heart by Carol J. Post was a sweet story. If I am honest, this book isn’t very memorable to me. I enjoyed it, but it was so much like so many other books I have read. There was nothing that made this book memorable to me which I hate saying because it was nothing special for me I know that other people will totally love this book. I did enjoy this book, and it was a sweet story, but it just doesn’t stick out in my mind. I finished this book a few days ago, and I already have trouble remember much about this book other than that it was sweet and well written. I would be willing to read more books by this author, but this book just didn’t stick out to me. If you love chick lit books, I would give this one a chance and see what you think. If you have read this book what, did you think of it?

About The Book

Grant McAllister arrives in Murphy, North Carolina, with one aim: to sell his inherited property and leave as quickly as possible. The big-city lawyer has no interest in his late, estranged grandparents or the dilapidated mansion he just acquired. After his high-profile divorce, he should be avoiding perky reporters, too. But Jami Carlisle is honest, funny, and undeniably appealing.

After breaking up with her safe-but-smothering boyfriend, Jami is determined to ace her first big assignment. A story about the McAllister estate is too intriguing to ignore—much like its handsome, commitment-phobic heir. Thanks to her digging, the pieces of Grant’s fraught family history are gradually fitting into place, but also upending all his old beliefs.

The two draw closer as they share their dreams, until misread signals and misunderstandings begin to test their trust. But in the unspoiled beauty of the Smoky Mountains, there’s healing and forgiveness to be found. And for Grant, this unplanned detour may be just what’s needed to finally guide him home…

God Of The Internet by Lynn Lipinski

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

God of The Internet by Lynn Lipinski was a super interesting book. When I read the description of the book I knew I wanted to read it because I have always been interested in hacking and things like that. It isn’t something that I would ever want to do but reading a fiction book about it was so interesting. I am amazed at how far people will go to get other people’s information but this review isn’t about hacking so let’s get back to my thoughts on this book. I really enjoyed this author’s style of writing and for the most part I liked the characters. I did end up not liking some of the characters in the end but that is because I just didn’t like them. I always like when an author can make me hate one of their characters because it means that it is something that could really happen and that the characters seem like they could be real people. If you are into computers or are just looking to scare the crap out of yourself when it comes to computers, than I would pick this one up and give it a shot. If you have read it what did you think of it?

God Of The Internet by Lynn Lipinski

About The Book

When a hacker known as G0d_of_Internet hijacks millions of computers to do the bidding of an Islamic jihadist group, their first act is to disrupt the water treatment systems in Boston, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Next, the power grids go down. Is this the start of a digital world war? The only thing standing between the terrorists and their goal to weaponize the internet is a small band of white hat hackers, including cybersecurity guru Mahaz Al-Dossari and his wife, Juliana. The search is on for a couple of hundred lines of code and a global hacker network before they can make good on their ultimate threat to divert money from the world’s banks. But G0d_of_Internet has been tracking their every move. And it’s Juliana, a PR manager lacking in technical skills, who may hold the key to unmasking the hacker.
