Driver Confessional by David L Winters was a fun book to read. I loved that this book had things that are actually happening or things that really exist. I love when authors just change the name of a service or product in their books, but everyone knows what the author is talking about. I also enjoyed this book because it was such a different type of story in the fact that it has to do with a guy that is a driver because I can only imagine all of the stories that cab drivers and people like them have to tell. I also really enjoyed this authors writing. I really liked Antonio right from the start because he seemed like someone that I could relate to and I really enjoyed that. If you are looking for a different type of mystery book to read I would recommend this book to you.

Lola by Melissa Scrivner Love was a great book, but there are some things that would offend some people because of the content. I am going to give you a few of the things that might offend you if you get easily offended. There was a “sex” scene, but they didn’t get into a ton of detail when it came to this scene, but it was in there. The book is about drug dealers so that may also offend people and there are also some parts where the language used might offend people as well. Now that I have gotten that all out of the way I want to talk about this book and why I liked it as much as I did. I love that the gang leader is a female. I think it is great to make the leader a woman and it also made this book so different from anything else that I have read before. None of the things I talked about during the first part of this review bothered me, in fact, I ended up liking this book that much more because it wasn’t as boring as some books can be when they don’t have anything “bad” in them. If you love thriller type books than I think this book might be a good fit for you.

The Paths We Walk Trails by Felicia Ferguson was a book that I had a hard time getting interested in and staying interested in. It is rare that I read books that I struggle with as much as I did with this one. I only got through just over half of the book before I put it down and just walked away from it. I am usually able to keep reading a book, but I couldn’t stay interested in this book for some reason. With that being said though this book was well written and I am sure that most people would enjoy this book, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me.

Being a follower of Jesus is the most important role in my life. I love being involved in small groups and Bible studies and have made treasured friendships in each. I am a firm believer that each person has a journey that is unique to them. As Christians, our mission should be to support each other on our walks.
Fun
I love to travel and experience new places learn about the culture of the area. The back of my MINI Cooper is covered in decals from the cities and countries I’ve visited. I like to joke that it’s my moving passport! Scotland, England, and Charleston will play supporting roles in the upcoming additions to The Paths We Walk series.
Family
Although I am single, God has surrounded me with a tremendous group of people I call my family. Some are related by blood, others only by love. Without each of them I would not be the person I am today nor would I be growing into the person God sees me be. I do have two children (four-legged and furry) who keep me on my toes and always make me smile. I call them my “salt and pepper shakers.” Buttercup and Lillie are French Bulldogs and half-sisters from Frenchy Farms in Venice, Florida.

True To You by Becky Wade was a great book. I can’t even count the number of books that I have read by this author, so I knew going into this book that I was probably going to enjoy it. I love books by this author because the well was written and they always end up being super sweet love stories. With that being said they are predictable, and I am usually able to figure out what is going to happen to them but I still love everything about her books. I really liked John right from the first chapter of the book, and I was sad when the book was over because I knew he would be one of the characters that I would miss. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Nora, but I couldn’t tell why I didn’t like her. If you love Christian romance books, I am positive that you will love this book just as much as I did.

Beyond Justice by Cara Putman was an okay mystery book. I love mystery books but I tend to get bored with ones that are written by Christian authors because they just stay on the surface and they don’t usually include anything that is super gross in them. Since this genre is my favorite I tend to like the books that have tons of details and go in deep when they are describing things. Like I said before I liked this book but I got bored because of how it was written which I am sure makes me in the minority. With that being said if you love mystery books and hate the ones that have tons of details in them you will love this book. I also like to pick up books like this when I have been reading a ton of super heavy books because it is nice to read books that a book that doesn’t go so deep from time to time.

Looking Glass Lies by Varina Denman was a hard book for me to get and stay interested in this book. I had a hard time with this book because I have never struggled with what Cecily was so I couldn’t understand or even feel like I could relate to what she was going through in her life. I know that women who do go through things like this would probably relate and get more out of the book than I did. I just found myself annoyed and not able to understand what she was going through during this book. I did like how you got to see as she grew throughout this book because I think that it give others hope who are dealing with the same things. I am sure that this book would be perfect for people who do go through things like this, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me.
