Can’t Hold Us-Musical Monday

music copy

I have another Musical Monday post for you today because lately I have loved listening to music on the way home from work.  It seems like I have more time that usual as well because of all the traffic because of the horrible weather we are having.  Anyway this song is Can’t Hold Us by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.  I pretty much love the CD that this song is on but I find that I am just putting this song on repeat while I am driving home because it makes me want to dance.  It also makes me forget that I am stuck in traffic.

Do you like this song?  What songs and/or music are you loving now?

Let Her Go by Passenger-Musical Monday

music copy

I haven’t done a musical Monday post for months and months but I have to post this song because I am listening to it on repeat all day long.  It is called Let Her Go by Passenger.

I am not sure what it is about this song that I love so much but I can’t stop listening to it.  I bought the whole album and I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed.  I am not a huge fan of the music videos but I do love his music.  I think I like it so much because he has a very different voice than anything I have heard in years so that always a good thing to me.

What songs are you loving this week?????  Leave them below because I am always on the lookout for great music.

A Few Great YouTube Video’s

A Few Great YouTube Video's

Since I am about down to the end of review list I get to post more actually posts and I decided that I am going to post a few great YouTube video’s that I have found recently.

#1-This first one is actually two video’s because there is a part 1 & 2.  I usually don’t like things like these but because it is October I really enjoyed it.

#2-I am sure everyone out there has already seen this one but I find myself watching it over and over because it makes me smile.

#3- I found this video through another one and I have to say that these guys are my latest musical obsession.

#4- There isn’t much to say about this next video other than I love this girls music.

#5- I love this one because it is an amazing story and like the title of the video says “Try to Watch Without Crying. . .”

10 Things I Smile About

I Smile About

This week for the Writers Workshop I am going to write about 10 things to smile about because everyone always needs something to smile and/or laugh about.

  1. Funny pictures off of Facebook.
  2. Crazy memories of things I have heard said where I work.  It is a lot like the TV show “The Office”.
  3. Crazy things animals will do.
  4. The fact that I am finally divorced and so happy to be alone.
  5. Jenna Marbles videos on YouTube.
  6. Crazy things that my Grandma & little brother say on a regular basis.
  7. The fact that it is almost Friday! (It has been a week full of Monday’s for me)
  8. Funny emails I get set.
  9. The app iFunny on my iPhone.
  10. Listening to music.

Those are 10 reasons that I smile.  What makes you smile?

First Concert

My First Concert

The first concert I attend (or at least I think it was my first) was NSYNC.  I was in 7th or 8th grade.  I went with one of my best friends back then.  I can still remember waiting in line to buy the tickets months and months before the show.  I remember every little detail about the show and remember how I was the day after the show.

I remember I was super sad and depressed because I had looked forward to going to see them for months and months and then it was over and I felt like I didn’t have anything else to look forward to.  I remember that my grandma laughed at me when I told her why I was sad and now that I look back at it I have to laugh as well.  It crazy how I looked at things when I was younger and how  big this concert was build up in my head.  I did go and see them one more time along with a few other boy bands that were popular at the time.

Now that I am an adult I tend to want to go and see more comedians than music stars.  I have seen Jeff Dunham twice and I loved every second of those shows.  I stake his website so I will know when he come back and my brother and I can go and see him again.  It is weird to me that I love music so much but the thought of going to a musical concert makes me head hurt now.  When I was younger I loved the loud music at concerts and now I don’t think I would be able to stay through the whole thing no matter how much I loved the show.

Who did you see for your first concert? Do you like to see comedians or music stars more?

One Random Song

Random Song

This week for the writers workshop #3 which is: Pick up your iPod or phone or whatever stores your music and press shuffle…what comes up first? Tell us about that song choice.  I have almost 2000 songs on my iPod so I went to a playlist that I listen to the most because it is a true mix of music and scrolled down and just picked on random song and the song that came up was: Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous by Good Charlotte.

This song is super old because I believe I first heard it when I was in high school.   There isn’t much to really say about this song other than I still like it and love to listen to it when it gets played on my iPod.    The music video makes me laugh and let’s be honest there really isn’t much to the song so I am not sure why it has stuck with me so long but it has and I can’t get enough of songs like this.

What random song do you love?

***As a side note I googled when the song was released and it was in the fall of 2002 so that would have been my senior year of high school.
