Day 10-My Guilty Pleasures #30DayChallenge

Today’s topic is about guilty pleasures.  For those that don’t know what it means it means:

Something pleasurable that induces a

usually minor feeling of guilt

I have thought about this for a while and these are the things I came up with.

  • Eating potato chips even though I shouldn’t because I need to lose weight
  • Online shopping
  • Buying books even though I already have so many I could never read them all as it is
  • Buying movies

Those are the only things I can think of right now.  What are your guilty pleasures?

Day 9-If You Could Have Any Job In The World What Would It Be? #30DayChallenge

Day 9

Today’s topic is if you could have any job in the world what would it be?  If I could be anything in the world I would want to be a life flight nurse.  I have always want to be a nurse and work in the emergency room.  I love the fact that they are always busy and I love everything that they deal with.  I still remember when I was in high school and we had a real life flight nurse come into talk in one of my classes and from that  class on I knew that is what I wanted to do.

I did start going to school to be a nurse but after I got pregnant and life took over I lost the drive I guess you could say.  I still think about being a nurse and going back and finishing school but now I am wondering if that is what I really want to do.  I have been thinking a lot about going into social work because I would love to work with girls who are wanting to place their children for adoption but that also has it own set of problems and doubts in my head as well.

When I worked as a CNA  I loved the work and I would probably still be doing that kind of work if I didn’t hurt my back and could do the lifting that is required for the job.  So as of now I am not sure where I am going but I know I will have it figured out one day!

Day 8- A Moment You Felt Most Satisfied In Your Life #30DayChallenge

day 8

Today’s topic is a moment that I felt most satisfied in my life.  As I thought about this topic for the past few days I really can’t think of anything that truly fits.  The one thing that kept coming in my mind was when I placed my daughter for adoption.  Now this was the hardest thing I have ever done but it was satisfying in the sense that I know I did the right thing for her.  It is hard for me to say that because it was by far the hardest thing I have ever done.  That day will forever be the worst day of my life but it also proved that I can do anything that I put my mind too.

I also think that part of the reason that comes to mind is because it has been almost 9 years now and I in a totally different place when it comes to how I look at the adoption and the place I am at with all of it.  That is really the only thing I can think of.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Day 7-Favorite Childhood Toys #30DayChallenge

Day 7

For day 7 it wants me to list some of my favorite childhood toys.  It has taken me hours to searching the internet to find this first toy.  I remember I got it when I turned 8.  I still remember the year I got this because I got the max amount of puppies that you could get.  My grandma also in the hospital this year and as far as I can remember I believe that my birthday was on Thanksgiving this year.puppy surprise

It is called Puppy Surprise and let me just say I loved this toy and I even remember opening it and being so excited because I got the max number of puppies that you could get in one.   My grandma also in the hospital this year and as far as I can remember I believe that my birthday was on Thanksgiving this year.

I also loved to mess around with my barbies.  In fact I still have most of them in the basement along with any dolls that I had growing up.  Other than those I don’t remember any toys that I loved playing with.  Growing up I did spend a lot of time outside running around and playing in the dirt or in the winter playing in the snow.

I remember waiting a getting a Furby and I loved it until it would start talking in the middle of the night and wake me up.  After that I hid it in a drawer because it creeped me out to say the least.  In fact we just threw them out because I totally forgot that it was in that drawer and I found it and made sure it got thrown away because they are creepy and I think the new ones are even more creepy but that is a whole different post.

Day 6- Zodiac Sign and Does It Fit? #30DayChallenge

Day6Today’s topic is what is my Zodiac sign and does it fit.  I am a Sagittarius and here is what I found that describes the sign:

Comparison with its symbol, the Archer: Sagittarius is symbolized by the Archer–half-man, half-horse. This symbolizes the Sagittarian’s attempt to free itself from man’s animal nature. The centaur is thought to symbolize the development of the human soul. It symbolizes the animal natures and desires of man, as well as its spiritual aspirations. In Greek mythology, centaurs were adventurous, brave, and wise; they were also given to brawling and uncivilized behavior.

The glyph for Sagittarius is a straightforward one — it depicts the archer’s arrow slung in a bow. This glyph symbolizes the desire for direction, a higher purpose, and abundance.

You can click here and go to where I got that information and also get ton’s more information on people who are Sagittariuses.

From what I have read about them I think that there are things about it that fit me and other things that don’t really fit me.  When I was reading through different articles I could see things that are 100% who I am and then there are other things that couldn’t be farther from who I am.  It seems people who are Sagitarriuses are supposed to be out going and things like that and that isn’t me by any stretch of the imagination.  I am a shy person but other than that one fact everything about them pretty much is me!

Does your sign match you?

Day 5- Favorite Comfort Foods & Why #30DayChallenge

Favorite Comfort Foods & Why

Today’s topic is my favorite comfort foods and why are they my favorite.  I can’t say that I am a huge fan of comfort foods because and I sit here and think about what I eat when I want comfort food I can’t really think of anything.  I will sometimes eat ice cream but other than that I don’t have any that I can think of.

Day 4- Views on Religion #30DayChallenge

Views on Religion

Today’s topic is my views on religion.  Now this is something I have never written about because I didn’t want to start drama but I am in a place now in my life where I am okay with everything.  Now that doesn’t mean I want drama but I am okay if it happens because of this post.

I was raised LDS or as most people know us as is Mormon.   I stopped going when I found out I was pregnant because I refused to deal with how people treated me.  I know church isn’t about the people  but it is hard to go when everyone just stares at you.    I have always hated how some members of my church feel the need to judge everyone but that is another post for another day.

I also don’t think that you have to be a certain religion.  As long as you are a good person and treat others well then everything is okay.  I refuse to believe that God will condemn anyone because they aren’t the right religion.  I basically just accept everyone for who they are and I leave it at that.  I won’t judge others like I have been judged.

Day 3- Top 5 Pet Peeves

Day 3Today’s topic is my top 5 pet peeves.  I have quite a few things that bug me but I am going to try and only post 5 of them.

  1. I hate it when people call into work and are rude to me when they are really just pissed off at the salesman they need to talk to but they would rather yell at me instead of yell at the real person they are mad at.
  2. People who always judge other people.  I don’t judge and hate it when other people spend all their damn time make other people fell bad.
  3. Idiot drivers!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Having to hear people chew when they are eating around me.
  5. People who think they know me when the really don’t know anything about me or who I am.

Day 2- 10 Years #30DayChallenge

Where would I like to be in 10 years

Where would I like to be in 10 years

In ten years I will be 38 and I have no idea where I want to be when I am 38.  I have sat her for hours trying to figure out where I want to be and to be honest I am more focused on what I want to do tomorrow and this next week than what I want to be doing years down the road.  Here are a few things that I hope will be happening in my life in ten years.

  • I hope that the Multiple Sclerosis is still stable and that I am doing okay with that.
  • Happy with whatever I find myself doing.
  • Living on my own again.

Other than those 3 things I really don’t have anything else planned.
