Naked by Gina Gordon was an excellent book.  I did find it kind of predictable, but that is because these type’s of books are the ones I read when I can’t decide what to read next.  These are one of my guilty pleasure kind of book because if asked I would probably say I don’t like to read them but in the end, I love them because they are always an easy read.  This is the first book I have read by this author, and she is going to added to the list of authors that I love and want to read more books by her.  I loved all the characters in this book and the setting of the book.  I loved what Noah did to make Violet finally come over and talk to him.  If you love chick lit  books than I know you will love this book.

Naked by Gina Gordon

About The Book

The deeply sensual Body & Soul series kicks off with “a fun, sexy emotional read” (Lisa Renee Jones), as one woman discovers the courage to face life’s greatest challenges—and explore her connection with a handsome neighbor.

Violet Walker has been hiding. Withdrawn after a terrible car accident, she is worried about going back to her high-pressure job, where she’s expected to project confidence and sleek refinement. Allowing herself a distraction, she’s been watching her sexy neighbor work on his house. But when the shirtless, grinning hunk catches her in the act, Violet is struck by the unmistakable jolt of physical chemistry, a sensation that’s both thrilling and terrifying.

Noah Young is used to moving from one construction job to another, never laying a firm foundation. The same goes for the women in his life—until Violet changes all that. His beautiful voyeur embraces his rough edges and shows him a hint of real love. But even Noah can tell that she’s holding back, hiding her body and her heart from what they both truly want. If only he could get a little help convincing Violet to see herself as he sees her: perfect in every way.

The Hearts We Mend by Kathryn Springer

Book Review Graphic

FTC: I received a free copy of this  book from Litfuse in exchange for my honest review.  I received no other compensation.  All the opinons in this review are 100% my honest thoughts and feelings.

The Hearts We Mend by Kathryn Springer was an excellent book.  I have to admit that I didn’t realize that this was part of a series until I was a few chapters in and the for some reason it clicked in my head.  I then went back and read my review of the first book because I wondered how I felt about it and I had to laugh because in the book I didn’t like Evie at all.  But in this book I loved her right from the start.  It is funny how you can like someone that you hated in the first book, but once the story is told through their eyes, you love them.  I can’t say enough good things about this book and the author.  I loved just about everything about this book and it was one that I read super quick because I had to know it all worked out.  This book is one that I will be adding to my personal collection of books.  If you love romance novels than I know, you will love this one just as much as I did.

The Hearts We Mend by Kathryn Springer

About The Book

For young widow Evie Bennett, moving forward will mean deciding what to leave behind . . . and what to keep.

Widowed at the age of twenty-five when her firefighter husband was killed in the line of duty, Evie Bennett has spent the last thirteen years raising their son, Cody, in the close-knit community of Banister Falls. As the women’s ministry director of her church, Evie encourages women to boldly pursue God’s plan for their future . . . while she is content with her memories of the past. But Evie’s well-ordered life begins to change when she meets Jack Vale.

As Evie gets drawn into Jack’s world—a world that isn’t as safe and predictable as the one she’s worked so hard to create—he challenges her to open her eyes to the problems in the community . . . but will Evie open her heart to love again?

Because even though Jack isn’t anything like her late husband, he just might be everything she needs.

Kathryn Springer

About The Author

Kathryn Springer, winner of the 2007 Write Touch Reader’s Award (long contemporary), grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, plunking out stories, and credits her parents for instilling in her a love of books – which eventually turned into a desire to tell stories of her own.

After a number of busy years, when she married her college sweetheart and became a stay-at-home mom, Kathryn rediscovered her love for writing. An unexpected snow day from school became the inspiration for a short story, which she submitted to Brio magazine. She went on to publish over a dozen more short stories for Brio, but it wasn’t until her youngest child started school that she decided to pursue her dream to write a novel. In August 2004, her Love Inspired® debut novel, Tested by Fire, was published.

Encouraging women in their faith journey is the reason Kathryn loves to write inspirational fiction. She hosts a women’s Bible study in her home and volunteers in a local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) ministry. When she isn’t at the computer, you’ll find her curled up with a good book, spending time with family and friends or walking on the trails near her country home.

Novelista Girl by Meredith Schorr

Book Review Graphic

FTC:I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.  I received no other compensation.

Novelista Girl by Meredith Schorr was just as good as the first book in the series.  If you missed the review on the first book, you could click here to check it out.  You do have to read these books in order but if you are just interested in this book than you don’t have to read the first one to understand what is going on in this book.  This book was easier for me to get into and it didn’t have as many slow spots as the first book did for me.  If I was just comparing this book to the first one, I liked this one a hundred times more than I did the first one.  I hope that she is planning on writing more books because I enjoyed this one and I am sure her next one will be just as good.  If you love chick lit than I know, you will love this book as much as I did.

Novelista Girl by Meredith Schorr

About The Book

Readers first met sassy Kimberly Long in Blogger Girl, and now the feisty New Yorker is back in a sequel packed with quick wit, friendship, heartache, and, of course, romance.

Kim runs the most popular chick lit book blog on the web, loves playing house with her sexy lawyer boyfriend, Nicholas, and is finally pursuing her lifelong dream to become a published author. At first glance, her life is five-pink-champagne-flutes worthy.

But is there more to the story than meets the eye?

After hearing the phrase “chick lit is dead” more times than she’s read Bridget Jones’s Diary, Kim is driven to desperate measures, seeking advice from up-and-coming chick lit author, Hannah Marshak, her high school nemesis and resident “mean girl.” As if Kim doesn’t have enough on her plate balancing her secretarial duties with her blog Pastel Is the New Black, shrugging off the growing pile of agent rejections, and keeping her best friend from turning green over Kim’s budding friendship with Hannah, Nicholas is so blinded by his career ambitions, he doesn’t see that their home sweet home could use more than a dash of sugar.

This is the year when all of Kim’s dreams—professional and romantic—are supposed to come true, but will the story have a happily ever after, or will Kim end up unpublished and all alone?

This novel can be read as a sequel or as a standalone and is best accompanied by a cocktail, preferably a pink one.

Dating The Guy Next Door by Amanda Ashby was an excellent book to read.  I didn’t know how I was going to feel about the book when I started it but after I was a chapter in the book I started enjoying the plot and the characters in this book.  It was a little bit of a slow start for me but if you give it a chance I know you will enjoy it in the end.  I did find parts of it predictable but not so much so that I didn’t want to finish the book.  This is the first book I have read by this author, and I am glad that I found her because I know I will be reading more of her books.  This book is an easy read and one that anyone who likes chick lit would enjoy so if you are looking for your next chick lit book check this one out.

Book Review Graphic

Starting From Lost by SK Wills surprised me because I didn’t think I would like it but I ended up loving it.  I didn’t know if I would like  Hannah when the book started because she didn’t seem like someone that I would get along with.  But once I was a few chapters into the book I began to like her.  She has the kind of personality that bother me, but they usually end up growing on me.  I felt bad for Hannah and what happened to before the book started and I love watching, and she moved on and learned more about herself and life.  In the end, I fell in love with the characters and this authors style of writing.  I can’t wait to read another book by this author and I am sure that almost everyone would end up loving this book like I did.
