Seaside Gifts by Gayle Roper was a great quick read. It isn’t a very long book so I was able to get it read within a few days of starting it. This was another great summer read and like I said it is a super easy book to read. This is the first book I have read by thing author and I wasn’t let down. Even though I knew what was probably going to happen I still wanted to finish the book because I fell in love with the characters and the authors writing. If love sweet romance novels than I would for sure recommend this book to you especially if you are are look for a for a sweet end if summer read.
About The Book
Nan Patterson has finally found her niche: operating a boardwalk gift shop in the quaint beachfront town of Seaside. Everything is perfect–until valuable items start just…showing up. At worst, they’ve been stolen and abandoned in her shop. At best, someone doesn’t realize they’ve lost them. Either way, Nan knows she’s out of her depth. Time to call in the local police.
Officer Rog Eastman has bigger worries than a bunch of misplaced treasures—but it is his job to help local shop owners. The fact that she’s adorable doesn’t even come into the equation. Especially since he’s sworn off women for the foreseeable future.
But there’s an imp at work in the background. Someone who knows exactly what these two people need: each other!
About The Author
Gayle Roper has been in love with story for as long as she can remember whether reading one or writing one. She began her writing career when she wanted to be a SAHM for her two sons. She sold her first short story to a teen magazine for $10. The road to fame and glory awaited. Since then she’s written some 50 books both fiction and non-fiction, adult and children’s. All have been written from a strong Christian world view. She considers herself a novelist and teacher of writing. A three-time Christy Award finalist, Gayle has also won the Inspirational Readers Choice Award twice, the Carol Award, the RITA Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and 3 Holt Medallions.
Journeys of the Heart was another great book filled with 3 short stories. I did a review on a book similar to this one a week or so ago so if you missed that review you can click here to check it out. Like I said in that review that I love books like this because I can read one of the stories in one sitting and then walk away and pick it up later and not have to remember what happened because the stories don’t have to go in order. Unlike the other one there is no way that I could pick which story that I liked the most out of this book. I loved all the stories and I can’t wait until I have the time to read books by each of these authors. If you love historical fiction that I would sure recommend this book for you.

Winnie Griggs
Winnie Griggs grew up in south Louisiana in an undeveloped area her friends thought of as the very back of beyond. With her two younger siblings and another family of two siblings for playmates, she spent many an hour exploring the overgrown land around her home, cutting jungle trails, building forts and frontier camps, and looking for pirate ships on the nearby bayou.
Once she ‘grew up’ she found other outlets for dealing with all those wonderful, adventurous imaginary friends by filling notebooks with their stories. And somewhere along the way, those scribblings gave way to full length stories.
Eventually she found her own Prince Charming, a rancher whose white steed takes the form of a tractor and whose kingdom is situated in a small rural community that she loves to call home, and together they’ve built their own storybook happily-ever-after. Their lives together expanded to include four now grown children who share Winnie’s vivid imagination and her husband’s steadier influences and are now out in the world pursuing their own adventures.
Winnie shares her stories with readers through her writings for Love Inspired and Love Inspired Historical books. You can learn more about Winnie at http://www.winniegriggs.com
Erica Vetsch
Even though Erica Vetsch has set aside her career teaching history to high school students in order to homeschool her own children, but her love of history hasn’t faded. Erica’s favorite books are historical novels and history books, and one of her greatest thrills is stumbling across some obscure historical factoid that makes her imagination leap. She’s continually amazed at how God has allowed her to use her passion for history, romance, and daydreaming to craft historical romances that entertain readers and glorify Him. Whenever she’s not following flights of fancy in her fictional world, Erica is the company bookkeeper for her family’s lumber business, a mother of two terrific teens, wife to a man who is her total opposite and yet her soul mate, and an avid museum patron.
Firefly Summer by Kathleen Y’Barbo was a great book. I loved this book from the start right up until the end of this book. I love when books have meaning and things that you can learn from while you are reading and this book does that. I loved watching the characters grow throughout this story and see how they grew. This was a super easy book to read and one that I recommend to everyone this summer. It was a sweet story and a very easy read. If you read this book please let me know what you think of it.
About The Book
Artist Sessa Chambers may never recover from losing her prodigal son. Even as she grieves the tragic decisions that led to his death, and left her with a toddler to raise, she’s asked to work on her dream project—restoring carousel horses for the Smithsonian. But she can’t do it on her own…
Dr. Trey Brown can’t pick up a scalpel again. Yes, he acted in self-defense, but the events of that awful night haunt him. He was trained to save lives, not take them. When he goes to the young man’s widowed mother to apologize, she’s not at all what he expected. For one thing, she’s not as alone as he thought—not with the fearsome ladies of the Pies, Books, and Jesus Book Club in her corner. For another, she’s beautiful, and being in her presence is more jolting than any eight-second bronco ride from his former rodeo days. Before he knows it, she’s captured his heart as easily as they capture the fireflies gracing Sessa’s Texas ranch.
How can they overcome their past to embrace a future together?

Kiss The Cowboy by Julie Jarnagin was a super fun story. I read another short story by this author and so far I have loved everything that I have read from her. Even though books like this can be predictable I still loved the story and I truly believe that is because of the author’s writing. I was a huge fan of Dylan from the start and just liked him more and more as the story went on. I loved the back and forth between the characters and watching them fall in love with each other as the book goes on. This predictable or at least it was to me but like I said before I still really enjoyed this story. If you are looking for a sweet romance novel than I would for sure recommend this one to you.

Secondhand Cowboy by Lacy Williams was a great book. I have a soft spot for books that involve cowboys and this one didn’t let me down. I loved the setting of this book and I loved the authors writing as well. This book didn’t keep my guessing about what was going on but that was okay because I just loved the story and the characters in this book. The author did a great job of making me feel like I was there with the characters and also making me understand why the characters made the choices that they did throughout the whole book. If you love sweet contemporary romance books that I would recommend this book to you.

Saving Justice by by Susan Crawford was such a good book to read. I loved the characters from the very first page right up until the end of the book. I found myself getting caught up in what was going on like it was a true story and not a work of fiction. I often wonder what the world would be like if there were more people like Kinley in this world. Anyway lets get back to the book review. I loved this authors style of writing and the plot of this story. It was a great story that wasn’t hard to read so I read it in a day or two which is nice. If you love christian fiction than I would for sure recommend this book to all of you.
