Spring In Utah

Lets just say that spring in Utah totally sucks ass.  The pictures I am going to post were taken on a few different days so that I could show you just what the weather in Utah is like in the spring. The following two pictures were taken on Friday during my lunch.IMG_0166c

I shouldn’t have been shocked that it was snowing because that is pretty much how spring in Utah goes.  It will go from freezing to boiling over night.  The next picture was taken on Saturday.  I meant to take a picture first this when the snow was still on the ground but I didn’t get around to it until the snow had started to melt.  We had about 8 inches or so on our driveway when I woke up.

So basically spring in Utah is crazy and you never really know what you are going to get.  I hate spring and fall because I feel like I have to change clothes every 2 hours because the weather and temperature changes so much.  It has been raining and cold this week but it is better than snow so I will take it.

What is spring like where you live?

  1. Margaret spring in Central Texas means greening up, blooms on all the plants and pollen and allergies full blast for those like myself and my family who have been sick for almost a month with Sinus Infections/congestion/coughing/drainage from our head into our sore throats and general misery until we get a good rain shower come through to wash some of the stuff out of the air that while it smells sweet and pretty causes more and more to succumb to the allergic rhinitis that will last until May in some areas of Texas.

We planted our garden middle of March, at the beginning of this past week all the plants were frosty white and now dead thanks to Texas deciding to have another cold snap with hard frost and freezes for three mornings and arctic wind chills during the day so yeah Spring kind of sucks here too even without the snow and ice.

  2. I totally relate–at least this year. The Mid-Atlantic just can’t let go of winter. Other years we burn right through spring and jump right to summer. At least you live in a beautiful state, one I hope to visit some day.
    Happy Easter!
