I wish that I was a child again because I would love to have the whole summer free. I hate that because I am an adult I get stuck having to work all summer long. I think everyone should get a few weeks off each so we can do something fun. If I did get a break, these are the seven things that I would rather be doing.
I would love to go to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. It is one of my favorite places to go, and it changes all the time. We used to go all the time when I was growing up, and it is something that I miss. Even though when we went the last time, I couldn’t do some of the hikes and what not because of the MS.
I would love to have two weeks off that I could do nothing but read. I would love to be able to pick a few books of my own or even read some of the ones I have found over the years but never had any time to read. ( I might just take a break because I am dying to finish the 3rd book in the Divergent series. I started it, but I haven’t had time to finish it, and I have to know how it ends lol.)
I would love to go to a different country on vacation and get to meet new people and explore new places.
I would love to go to Florida and go to all the parks that they have in Orlando.
I would also like to take time off and catch up on all the movies I had missed over the past few years because I never have the time or energy to go and see them when they came out.
I would love to be able to sit at home and do absolutely nothing all day long.
I would also love just to get in the car and take a road trip somewhere. I am a huge fan of taking road trips because I like to find and see new places.
Those are seven things I would rather do this summer instead of having to work all summer long. What would you like to do if you could do anything you wanted to do?

Bradstreet Gate by Robin Kirman wasn’t the right book for me. When I first started reading this book, it reminded me of the book “Defending Jacob by William Landay” even though they aren’t about the same things the writing reminded me of that book but that is about all because I found myself getting lost in all the details. I couldn’t sit down and read this book for extended periods of time because I got distracted and just couldn’t keep my focus on this book. I am sure this book will be great to some people but for me it just bored me, and I couldn’t wait until it was over.

Dawn At Emberwilde by Sarah E. Ladd was an okay book. I have read quite a few of Sarah’s books and I always in enjoy them but do find them to be predictable, but that just comes with reading every book that an author has written. Even though I knew what was going to happen in this book I still really enjoyed it, but I assumed I would because I have enjoyed all the other books I have read by Sarah. I enjoyed the setting of this book and the characters in this book. If you love historical fiction, then you need to pick up this book because I know you will love it.

The Question by R. Breuer Stearns was an interesting book. When I read the back of this book, I was super interested to see what it was all about but after the first couple of pages, I was worried that I wasn’t going to like it. After I was a couple of chapters into the book, I didn’t want to put it down. It was a book that I would take breaks from because it did make me think and that didn’t bother me at all. I love that I spend a good amount just thinking while I was reading this book and in the end, I enjoyed the story and the characters in the book. I also wanted to say that it is an easy read even though it did make me think. If you love books that make you think but also have a great story to go along with than I know you will love this book as much as I do.

R. Breuer Stearns is an investor and author.
Mr. Stearns graduated from Phillips Academy, Andover (1970), Harvard University (AB, 1974), University of Chicago (MBA, 1977), and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1979). He rapidly ascended on Wall Street in the 1980’s, serving as Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Lehman Brothers and Head of Investment Banking (North America) at UBS Securities. While living in New York, he founded “Terrific Teachers, Inc.,” a foundation dedicated to identifying and rewarding the best of the best of the city’s public high school teachers.
Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Mr. Stearns launched a private investment bank in the former Soviet Union. He spent the early 1990’s seeking to marry emerging science, primarily emanating from Russia’s Defense sector, with Western capital. During this period, Mr. Stearns made a small fortune, albeit from a larger one. The venture provided a remarkable lesson in hubris, a tremendous reservoir of internal strength, and first-hand source material for Mr. Stearns’ first book, Winning Smart After Losing Big (Encounter Books, Beijing University Press).
