The Runaway Rock Star by Veronica Blade was a sweet romance novel. I feel in love with the Liam right from the start, and because of that, I was able to finish this book pretty fast. I read this book in two days because I didn’t want to put it down. I also loved Emma’s daughter because she reminded me so much of my nephew and kids that age always makes me smile. I loved how hard working Emma was and how she was a great mother. I knew how this book would end even though I didn’t know the exact way things would happen. I loved that this book didn’t have over the top sex scenes in it. There weren’t any parts of this book that made me uncomfortable reading it, and I don’t think that it would really offend anyone else either. If you don’t like super-explicit sex scenes than I know you will enjoy this book. I loved the setting of this book as well. I can’t wait to pick up more books by this author in the future.

Real-Life Romance by Rhonda Stoppe was a sweet book. I did enjoy all of the stories in this book, and almost all of them left me with a smile on my face. I also loved that the author gives you points to ponder and things that you should ask yourself and think about. I love that the author doesn’t quote tons of scriptures while telling the story but she does give you some of the points that you should ponder. If you are looking for ways to grow as a couple, I think this book could help you. Since I am single, I just enjoyed the stories, and that is all. I am one hundred percent, okay being single, so I just pick up these kinds of books to break up some of the other types of books that I read. If you are looking for something sweet to read I think that this book would be an excellent fit for you.

Degrees of Love: A Novel by Lisa Slabach was very well written, but I struggled with reading it. I say that because since this book is a romance novel, I got bored because even though I don’t know what is going to happen, I do know what is going to happen if that makes any sense. I am sure that if you don’t read a ton of books like I do that statement won’t make any sense. I did enjoy the characters in this book, and I really enjoyed the authors writing, but in the end, I was bored. If you are a huge fan of romance novels than I am sure you will love this book. I am just starting to realize that I need to stick more to mystery type books because I tend to be bored with another genre of books. I am going to hang onto this book so that I can pick it up in the future and see if my thoughts and feelings change any about this type of book.

Luc’s heart squeezed. [Cat] was embarrassed to ask her family for help, like he’d have been embarrassed asking his. Except, that would never be an issue because he had more money than he could spend in one lifetime. Money to finance the creamery expansion his dad had talked about for years, and to send his folks on that cruise they’d hankered after but could never afford because of the cost of raising four kids and putting most of them through college. Money for everything except what mattered most—taking care of his wife and their child like he’d planned.
“Pay for the hockey registration when your grant comes through.” He tried to smile. “I know you’re good for it.”
“Thanks.” Cat’s voice cracked and she took one hand away from her bag to rub it across her face. “Hockey means everything to Amy. I want her to be able to play, but she’s growing so fast right now.”
“Hockey’s an expensive sport.” He slid an arm around her shoulders and gave her a little squeeze. The same kind of friendly squeeze he’d given her all those times back in high school when she’d saved his butt in chemistry. Before today, however, his fingers had never tingled when he’d touched Cat. His body had never heated, either.

Imperfect Justice by Cara Putman was a great book. The first thing I want to say is that if you don’t like to read books that have domestic violence in them than I would skip this book because that is a big theme in the book. I have read several other books by this author in the past, and I have liked the ones that I have read. I really enjoy books like this one, and I rarely find one that I don’t want. Like most books in this genre, I was able to figure out what was going to happen by the end of the book. It did keep me on the edge of my seat throughout the first half of the book, but even though by then I had figured out what was going to happen I still read it right through until the end because I had to know all of the details. I really enjoyed all of the characters in the book well everyone but Kaylene’s husband. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Christian legal thrillers. Christmas At Grey Sage by Phyllis Clark Nichols this was a sweet story that I loved right from the first page. There were times where I was confused because I didn’t know any of the back stories but in time it all comes out, and you finally understand things that are alluded to during the first few chapters in the book. I really enjoyed this author’s writing so much so that I can’t wait to read more books by her shortly. I liked that her characters seemed like they could be real people and I always love when that happens. I also love to read heartwarming books this time of year, and this one didn’t let me down. If you like Christmas books and love seeing people work through their problems than I am sure you will love this book as much as I did. What Christmas books do you enjoy?
