Romance Book
Kiss The Cowboy by Julie Jarnagin
Kiss The Cowboy by Julie Jarnagin was a super fun story. I read another short story by this author and so far I have loved everything that I have read from her. Even though books like this can be predictable I still loved the story and I truly believe that is because of the author’s writing. I was a huge fan of Dylan from the start and just liked him more and more as the story went on. I loved the back and forth between the characters and watching them fall in love with each other as the book goes on. This predictable or at least it was to me but like I said before I still really enjoyed this story. If you are looking for a sweet romance novel than I would for sure recommend this one to you.

When Grace Sings by Kim Vogel Sawyer was a sweet romance story. This book was slow in the beginning but it did pick up after a few chapters. I love how she tells you who is talking when the narrator changes throughout the whole book. I like when authors do that because than it makes it easier to read because you don’t have to try and guess who is talking. I wasn’t a huge fan of Briley throughout most of the book and I am honestly not sure why but he just got on my nerves. Towards the end I did start to like him and was sad to see this book end. I didn’t read the first book in this series and I was able to figure out what was going on and follow along. If you love romance novels than I would for sure recommend this book to you.

A Beautiful Taste by Lilliana Anderson was a super sweet story. There are 5 or 6 books before this one in the series but you don’t have to read them in order to know what is going on in this book. I haven’t read any of the other ones and I had no problem following this story. It was an easy read which is nice but it also held my attention which some books that are easy to read aren’t able to do. I loved the characters in this book and the setting of the book. The one thing I do know is that I am going to have to go back and read the other books in this series because I truly enjoyed this book and the author’s writing. If you love contemporary romance novels than this is one that I think you need to read!

Part of her wants to refuse to go so she doesn’t have to face him. But a larger part of her needs to see him, even if it’s just a window into what might have been…

A Love Like Ours by Becky Wade was a super sweet story. This is the third book in the series but you don’t have to read the other two in order to understand and follow along with this story. I love when I have read the series to be able to check back in with the characters that you come to love after reading a whole book about them. If you missed my reviews on the other two books you can click here and here to check them out. Anyway lets get back to the review of this book. Out of all the Porter brothers I have to say that Jake has been my favorite. Maybe that is because I grew up in the military but I really liked him and felt so bad for him because of everything he went through. I spent the whole time I was reading this book hoping that everything would work out great for Jake & Lyndie because I truly loved both of them. This is a sweet story that everyone who love contemporary romance books should check out!
About The Book
A Love Like Ours (Bethany House, May 2015)
Former Marine Jake Porter has far deeper scars than the one that marks his face. He struggles with symptoms of PTSD, lives a solitary life, and avoids relationships.
When Lyndie James, Jake’s childhood best friend, lands back in Holley, Texas, Jake cautiously hires her to exercise his Thoroughbreds. Lyndie is tender-hearted, fiercely determined, and afraid of nothing, just like she was as a child. Jake pairs her with Silver Leaf, a horse full of promise but lacking in results, hoping she can solve the mystery of the stallion’s reluctance to run.
Though Jake and Lyndie have grown into very different adults, the bond that existed during their childhood still ties them together. Against Jake’s will, Lyndie’s sparkling, optimistic personality begins to tear down the walls he’s built around his heart. A glimmer of the hope he’d thought he’d lost returns, but fears and regrets still plague him. Will Jake ever be able to love Lyndie like she deserves, or is his heart too shattered to mend?
