Back In The Saddle by Ruth Logan Herne was a good book to read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am so glad that I read this book because I now have another great author that I can add to my list of great authors that I want to read in the future. I really like all the characters in this book right from the start. I did spend most of the book hoping that Colt wouldn’t leave after the market recovered and what not. I am going to come back and update this review on March 30th because I signed up to review this book twice. So I will finish this review then and let you know how I felt about it over all at the end of March.
About The Book
The Prodigal Is Coming Home It’s been a long time since Colt Stafford shrugged off his cowboy legacy for shiny Manhattan loafers and a promising career on Wall Street. But when stock market manipulations leave him financially strapped, the oldest son of legendary rancher Sam Stafford decides to return to the sprawling Double S ranch in Gray’s Glen, Washington. He’s broke, but not broken, and it’s time to check in with his ailing father, and get his legs back under him by climbing into the saddle again. He doesn’t expect to come home to a stranger pointing a loaded gun at his chest— a tough yet beautiful woman that Sam hired as the house manager. Colt senses there’s more to Angelina Morales than meets the eye and he’s determined to find out what she’s hiding…and why.Colt’s return brings new challenges. Younger brother Nick has been Sam’s right-hand man at the ranch for years and isn’t thrilled at having Colt insert himself into Double S affairs. And the ranch’s contentious relationship with the citizens of Gray’s Glen asks all the Stafford men to examine their hearts about what it truly means to be a neighbor. And as Wall Street recovers, will Colt succumb to the call of the financial district’s wealth and power—or finally the courage to stay in the saddle for good?

Killing Me Softly by Kathryn R Biel was a good book it just wasn’t one of my favorites. I am not sure what I didn’t like about this book because it was written well and I did like Sadie right from the start. I think one thing I didn’t like was how Sadie over analyzed the people dying and blaming herself for their deaths. I really didn’t like her boyfriend at the start of the book right from the start and if I am being honest I wasn’t sad when he got killed. He bugged me and I knew that Sadie deserved someone 100% better than him. I did feel at times like some parts of the book were drug out too long and maybe some of Sadies thoughts that she had could have been cut out or shortened. This was an okay book and I am sure if you like chick lit then you might enjoy this book and you should check it out.
About The Book
Sadie Perkins has a sixth sense about things—especially people dying. Her clairvoyance has never bothered her until she starts to believe that her visions are causing the deaths of those around her. There’s a fine line between predicting someone’s death and causing it. Has Sadie finally crossed that line?
Enter contractor Max Schultz, who is not only good at working on houses, but he’s good at working on Sadie too. Much to Max’s dismay, as he’s trying to win Sadie’s heart, he finds Sadie’s first love, Henry Fitzsimmons, is back in the picture, snooping around.
Sadie doesn’t know which way to turn or who to trust, including herself. Can Sadie clear her name and open her heart all at the same time?

Cancelled Vows by Lauren Carr was an interesting book, to say the least. This is one of those books that nothing goes right from the start and at times I had to laugh because I couldn’t see some of the things happening but other parts I could totally see happening. Like when Gnarly ate the wedding rings I could totally see that happening but then you find out the David is already married when he goes to get his marriage license, but he claims that he had no idea that he got married years before. I enjoyed this story but at times, I wish I had others books in this series before so that I would know more of the backstory but you can just pick this book up and understand what is happening and who the characters all are. I really enjoyed this book even though at times all I could think about is how there is no way that anything like this could happen. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am for sure going to be adding more books by this author to my pile of books I want to read. I think pretty much everyone would love this book and have a good time reading it.

Still Counting by Phil Fragasso was an interesting book. I say that because I think this is the first chick lit book that I have ever read that is written by a man. It was a fun change from the other chick lit books that I have read. I love getting the males view on everything that was going on and I felt like this book is probably more accurate than some chick lit books that are written by females. I spent the entire book interested in what was going on because I loved getting to read what males may be thinking when they are dating and are in relationships. One part that made me sad was in the first chapter when he has to put down Casey, his dog because I too just had to put down my cat so I can understand how that would make him feel. I felt like Adam was someone I would get along with in the real world so that always makes for a good book as well. If you love chick lit and are looking for something a little bit different than I would for sure, tell you to check this book out because I know you will love it.
About The Book

He wants to move fast; she needs time. Nina sees her past liaisons with women as immaterial to their relationship, while her disclosure drives Adam to a state of irrational jealousy. He doesn’t know how he could compete with a woman, and his suspicions—which Nina views as hypocritical—lead them both to make decisions they may live to regret.

An Amish Year by Beth Wiseman was an excellent book. I love books like this because I love the shorter stories and the fact that I can read through one quickly and move on to a new thing. I liked that they put definitions of some of the words that the Amish use so that if you haven’t read books in this genre before you will be able to understand and follow along with the stories. I have read enough books that I don’t need the information, but if you are new, then I know you will love it. Out of the four stories that are in this book, I think I liked the first story the most. I felt like I could relate to Rosemary out of all the characters and her story was my favorite out of the four stories. I would recommend this book to people who don’t have tons of time to read because since they are short stories you can just read one and then put it down and walk away from it for awhile without having to remember what happened before.

Kissed By A Cowboy by Debra Clopton was an excellent book. This is the third book in the series, and you can just read this one if it is the only one that interests you. I do want to say that if you wish to read the entire series start at the beginning because this book will give things away if you start with it. I think Jarrod is my favorite character from this series because he seemed like he was the most relatable to me and someone I could see myself getting along with in the real world. I felt sorry for Cassidy and everything that she had gone through while growing up and even the things she went through as an adult. I think this book is the most relatable and one that most people will love. I can’t say enough great things about this series and this author writing. I think that most people would enjoy this book and series.
About The Book
Cassidy was looking for a home and a place to belong . . . not for a cowboy to steal her heart.
Having lived through her parents’ endless string of “matrimonial bliss gone wrong,” Cassidy Starr knows when the odds are not in her favor. Divorced and humiliated, her faith on rocky ground, Cassidy is through with love. She’s been bucked off that horse far too many times. Instead, she returns to Wishing Springs, Texas, and the rundown farm she’s inherited from her great aunt Roxie. She’ll reopen the strawberry farm and a bed & breakfast and follow in her aunt’s footsteps, remaining forever-independent, happy . . . and single.
Rancher Jarrod Monahan’s hands are full running the ranch, looking after his ailing grandfather, and chasing down a group of rustlers on the loose. He’s pushed his longing for a family to the bottom of his list of priorities. Besides, he was in love once but ran scared and lost his shot at happiness. But suddenly, the biggest regret of his life has moved in next door with a wounded heart, determined to become a spinster . . . and that’s a challenge that Jarrod can’t pass up.
Jarrod sets his mind to breaking down the walls around Cassidy’s stubborn heart. How can he show her that a cowboy’s kiss lasts forever? For the good folks of Wishing Springs, falling in love has never been so much fun to witness.
