Oops!: Tales of the Zombie Turkey Apocalypsewas a fun book and is my favorite book in the series. I enjoyed this one because it was a bunch of short stories, and I always enjoy those books. I love that each story is short enough that I don’t get bored. I loved the stories that didn’t have anything to do with zombies because zombies aren’t something that I usually enjoy. I did enjoy the stories about zombie vegetables, though, because I think that would be great if it happened. I also found that some of the stories in this book made me laugh more than any of the other three books in this series. I also want to find a time machine because I would love to go back in time and see things that happened. I would recommend listening to the other stories before this one if you don’t want any spoilers, but if that doesn’t bother you, then I would pick this one up first. If you are looking for a funny book to read I would recommend this one because I am sure you will enjoy it just like I did.

Paranormal Privateers by Andy Zack was an interesting book but was also super long. I would listen to this book for a couple of hours and then I would have to walk away and come back with it. This is the third book in the series and I would recommend listening to the whole series in order or you might get confused. I did find it easier to keep track of who was talking and how the characters are related. I enjoyed this book but not as much as the second book but it enjoyed it way more than I did the first book. I think part of my problem is the fact that I am listening to the whole series in about a month so I am just tired of the series right now. I am going to go back and listen to this book in the future so I can see if I feel the same way after some time has passed. With that being said this book did a great job of distracting me from all of the craziness that is happening in the world right now. If you love comedy or are looking for a new series of books I would give this one a shot.

Scarlet Oaks and the Serial Caller by Michaela James was a good audiobook. I really enjoyed the characters in this story and I was always left trying to figure out which person was the most insane in her group of friends and family. These are the types of characters that I wish I knew in real life because they are a never-ending source of entertainment. I really enjoyed the narrator of this audiobook and I wouldn’t be mad if I were to listen to other books that she reads. I loved listening to this book because it wasn’t super intense but it did give me an escape from all of the crazy events that are happening right now. I did enjoy the comedic parts of this book and those moments are the reason that I finished the entire audiobook in just a couple of days. I also enjoyed the author’s writing and I can’t wait to see what crazy things the characters are going to do next. There is one more book in this series that I am going to review next week so come back then to see how I feel about this series then.

The Corridor by Vic Neal was a great book to listen to. It took my mind off of what is happening in the world and that made me love this book even more. I am not someone who finds books funny but this one made me laugh out loud more times than I can count. I was also intrigued by this book because I don’t know much about Oxford and that kept me interested in the story and the characters. Right from the start, I felt like the characters in this book were real people and I was always left thinking how crazy they all were. I loved that the narrator is from the UK because it made the story come to life for me. He was also easy to understand so I was still able to understand him and listen to it at a faster speed. If you are looking for a book to listen to/read that will take your mind off of what is going on in the world I would give this one a shot.

Three Strikes by Ross Klavan, Tim O’Mara, & Charles Salzberg was a super fun book to read. I do want to say that my favorite story out of the three was “Jammed” because I loved what his job was, and it left me with a smile on my face. I had a really hard time taking the story to seriously because of everything that happened. If I am being honest I had a really hard time staying interested in the other two books and I am not sure why. I do love books like this though because if I get bored with one of the stories I can move on to the next one and come back to the other one later. I would by this book again all for the middle story because I just fell in love that story right from the start. If you are looking for something different to read I would pick up a copy of this book and check it out. Have you read it and if so what did you think of it?

Ross Klavan’s work spans film, television, radio, print, live performance and visual art. A novella, “Thump Gun Hitched,” was published in 2016 by Down and Out Books as part of “Triple Shot” along with Charles Salzberg and Tim O’Mara. His darkly comic novel Schmuck was published by Greenpoint Press in 2014. Klavan’s original screenplay for the film Tigerland was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and the film was released by New Regency starring Colin Farrell. He recently finished an adaption of John Bowers’ The Colony and has written scripts for Miramax, Intermedia, Walden Media, Paramount, A&E and TNT-TV among others. Golden Gremlin by Rod A. Walters was a fun book read. Before I get into the review of this book I wanted to say that this author might be one of my favorites because of the crazy things that happened while I was waiting for this book in the mail. The first book that I was sent got lost all I got of that book was the thank you note from the author. So the author sent me 2 more copies, and I also got a digital copy as well. I wish people would ship things with UPS or FedEx because it is less likely that book will get lost using those companies.
Anyway, let’s get on to my thoughts about this book. I loved that this book was a bunch of short stories because it allowed me to put the book down and read it around other books I was reading. Most of the short stories always left a smile on my face, and there were also ones that I agreed with one hundred percent. If you are looking for a book to give as a gift for a parent or friend, I would recommend this one because I think it is one that most people will enjoy and you don’t have to read it all right away. You can read a story or two and then come back to it when you have more time. I loved this book, and it will be one that I keep in my personal collection of books.

What the heck, Barry lives in Miami, habitat of geezers, and Ben Stein is one. The world really needs that push, vigorous or gentle, from misanthropes & geezers, the world’s most valuable golden gremlins. Misanthropes pretend to not like or need other people, but in reality, they merely prefer their own company much of the time. Geezers, aside from that silly name, also like their own company quite well. Both share the virtue of seeing the world calmly. You get pointy bite-sized life pointers from these experienced gremlins, told in easy bite-size chunks. Laughter included in the price! Two out of three wouldn’t be bad either.
Life is good! So laugh a little at yourself on the way through these pointy essays, and that will buy your laughing at the world’s simpler parts, guilt-free.

Rod Walters lives and writes in upstate New York to prove he can be an all-season writer. Since he wants everybody to be all-season persons no matter her or his circumstance, his writing aims sharply toward the practical—without turning into one of those godawful do it ma’ way authors. Life, after all, is practical hour by hour. Self-described as “old enough to know better, and he probably is,” his former life as Army officer, engineer, and administrative assistant could not have better prepared him to write both light and more serious short pieces pointing to creating a balanced life. Chuckling at yourself usually makes a good takeoff, he says. Giving up having to be certain makes for a good landing, especially for one’s friends! Then again, who the heck wants to live a balanced life? Mostly everybody does. That’s why he now writes.
