The Birth Mother by Seymour Ubell was an interesting book for the most part. There were times where I would get annoyed with how the story was being told. At times I had a hard time knowing if the author was talking or if the ghostwriter was talking. I kind of understand why the book was written the way it was but it also bugged me a good part of the book. I just wanted them to pick one point of view and stick to that throughout the entire book. I did feel bad for Shan throughout the entire book and I understand why she made the choices that she did because of the hell that she went through. I did enjoy the story that this book told and I loved getting to know real people and learn their stories through the author. It made me sad that things like this happen in the world but I know that they still happen. If you are looking for a book to read that will make you think I would recommend this book to you.
