Among The Innocent by Mary Alford was an interesting book.  It took me a few chapters to get into this book.  After a few chapters though I didn’t want to put the book down until I was finished reading it.  I loved how that author weaved together the Amish world along with the english world.  She did a great job of giving you just the right amount of details so you understood what was going on but not so many that you would get overwhelmed with them.  This book had just the right amount of suspense in it that kept me interested.  If you aren’t the biggest fan of suspenseful books I think you might like this one.  I also wasn’t able to figure out who the killer was before the end of the book so that is always nice.  I do wish that there had been more of the romance in this book but in the end the book isn’t a romance novel.  I am for sure going to read more books by this author in the future because I really enjoyed the authors writing.   If you are looking for an interesting mystery book to read this summer I would pick up a copy of this one.  It was a super quick read for me and I think people who like mystery type books will enjoy the story.

When secrets from both of their pasts begin to surface, an unexpected connection between them is revealed. But this is only the beginning. Could it be that the former police chief framed an innocent man to keep the biggest secret of all buried? And what will it mean for Leah–and Dalton–when the full truth comes to light?

None Without Sin by Michael Bradley

FTC: I received a free copy of this book from Partners In Crime Book Tours in exchange for my honest review. I received no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent true and my own.

None Without Sin by Michael Bradley was a very fast-paced book.   I loved that this book started right in the thick of it because that made me want to keep reading.  This is the first book I have read by this author, and I know I will read more books from him in the future.  This is one of those books that will keep you up at night because you don’t want to put the book down.  This book kept me guessing as to what was going to happen, and I loved that. The author did a great job of giving you the details you need but doesn’t go overboard.  I also loved that even with so many characters in the book that author was able to make them different enough that  I didn’t get confused as to who everyone was.  The author also did a great job of making me feel like I was there with the characters.  He managed to make an entire world for this book and I was sad when the book ended because I didn’t want to say goodbye to these characters.  If you aren’t a big fan of suspense than this book probably won’t be the best  match for you.

Be sure your sin won’t find you out.

When a Delaware real estate mogul is murdered, newspaper journalist Brian Wilder wants the scoop on the killing, including the meaning behind the mysterious loaf of bread left with the corpse. Reverend Candice Miller, called to minister to the grieving family, quickly realizes that the killer has adopted the symbolism of sin eating, a Victorian-era religious ritual, as a calling card. Is it the work of a religious fanatic set to punish people for their missteps, or something even more sinister?

As more victims fall, Brian and Candice follow a trail of deceit and blackmail, hoping to discover the identity of the killer—and praying that their own sins won’t catch the killer’s attention.

“Loaded with twists, Bradley’s vibrant and gripping thriller will make readers eager for more.”
—August Norman, author of Sins of the Mother
