I loved this book from start to finish. I read the first book in this series and I remember I liked it but not like I like this one. I loved all the characters in this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I loved Patience and I was sad when this book was over because I will miss her character. I didn’t really like William at first but by the end of the book I really did enjoy his character. I loved to see the changes in him and in Patience throughout the book. I also had to laugh at how Patience considered herself a spinster because she was 25. I am glad times have changed and that isn’t true in todays society.
About The Book
Patience Creighton has dedicated herself to the Rosemere School for Young Ladies. But the return of the enigmatic master of the estate puts everything she loves at risk.
Bright, sensible Patience knows what is expected of her. At twenty-five, her opportunity for a family of her own has passed, so she invests herself in teaching at her father’s school for girls. When her father dies suddenly and her brother moves away to London, she is determined to make the school successful.
Confirmed bachelor William Sterling also knows what is expected of him, but mistake after mistake has left him teetering on ruin’s edge. As master of Eastmore Hall he owns a great deal of property — including the land where Rosemere School is located — but possesses little money to manage its upkeep. When debtors start calling, he is desperate to find a new source of income, even if it means sacrificing Rosemere.
When a fire threatens the school grounds, William must decide to what lengths he is willing to go to protect his birthright. And when Patience’s brother returns with a new wife to take over management of the school, Patience suddenly finds herself unsure of her calling. After a surprising truth about William’s past is brought to light, both William and Patience will have to seek God’s plans for their lives-and their hearts.

The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen was a great story but hard at times for me to get through. I really enjoyed this story and the authors writing but for some reason it was hard for me to finish and I am not sure why. I have read several others books by her and I loved them but this one for me was a little slow. At times I did get pissed at Julia for how she acted and things that she did but I always had to tell myself that this was different time and place. All it all if you love historical fiction books you should check this out.

“If you ever get a book published, I’m gonna buy myself a Harley.”
Yes, you read that right. With the kind of twisted masculine logic women struggle to understand, the Hubs decided to reward my achievement by buying himself a present. In his mind, if he is happy, he can make other people happy, and what can make anyone happier than the classic tribute to steel and chrome. Little did I know I would find inspiration in his passion, and a fondness for the heavy vibrations of the Harley Road King Classic.
Unfortunately publishing success meant that the Hubs acquired not one but two Harley Davidson motorcycles within a short period of time. They now have pride of place in the garage, meaning cars, bicycles, wives and children must be rearranged to accommodate not just the Harleys but the “buffer zone” that ensures the Harleys may be seen but not touched.
Of course, it wasn’t enough to just buy the Harleys. Oh no. He needed the leathers, and the helmet, then the gloves and boots. Rain gear, winter gear, heated gear, bags and luggage, keychains, eyewear and chaps. And don’t get me started on the accessories: racks, bars, pegs, race tuners, headers, slip-ons, stage one mods. It never ends.
We visited a dizzying array of bike stores and as a reward for my patience, the Hubs offered to buy my choice of biker T-shirts for my pillion rides: “Daddy Rides a Hog, “Biker Bitch”, “This Bitch Doesn’t Fall Off”, “All Bitch. No Pleasure”, and my personal favorite, “Biker Bitches do it Best”.
Of course he couldn’t ride alone. So I did what all biker bitches do. I put on my “Best” T-shirt and climbed on for a ride. And then another. And another. And another. There is something to be said for having over 800 pounds of vibrating metal between one’s thighs while plastered to the back of a leather-clad weekend warrior. Already the seeds of an erotic romance had been planted in my dirty l’il mind.
But it wasn’t until we drove several hours out of town to a well-known biker bar that Barely Undercover came to fruition. We sat in a corner, drinking our iced teas, watching the “real” bikers come and go. I was entranced by their confidence, the creak of worn leathers, the tight bonds they had with their “brothers” and their total disregard for any biker wannabees who tried to take up the stools. Oh…and did I mention the chaps?
Desperate to get to the heart of biker culture, I discovered that the best way to meet bikers is to join the mutual bike appreciation society. This involves studying another biker’s bike, nodding many times, and then asking questions like: What polish did you use on your chrome? Stage one mods? Who did the artwork on the fender? In return, the biker will “appreciate” your bike which gives a quick-witted author the opportunity to ask a few choice questions about biker life, from work to relationships, accommodations to…er…grey zone activities.
Now that it’s winter, the bikes have been polished until they shine, parked and covered and I’m hard at work on my next biker romance. The Hubs has been banned from purchasing additional Harleys, gear or accessories, except for passenger pegs for my feet and a nice pillion backrest for those moments when I just can’t take any more vibrating and need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Oh…and he bought me a new T-shirt: “Biker Writers write it Best.”

A risky proposition—especially when their blazing sexual chemistry reignites an unforgettable passion.
But when a dark terror emerges from the past, Lana goes on the run…and James gives up everything to save her. Backed into a corner, Lana must face her fears, including the one thing that frightens her most…her overwhelming feelings for the man whose searing glance sparks her most hidden desires, the man she should not trust, but cannot resist.
Warning: The book contains violence, explicit sex, light BDSM, heavy swearing, motorcycle sexytimes, bad-ass biker naughtytimes, and an exceptionally hot hero who will get down and dirty anywhere but under the covers.
Recovering lawyer, karate practitioner, and caffeine addict, Sarah Castille worked and traveled abroad before trading her briefcase and stilettos for a handful of magic beans and a home near the Canadian Rockies. When I saw this was one of the prompts for the writers workshop I knew I had to write about it. The prompt I chose this time is 5.) List 8 books you’ve read that you think everyone should read in their lifetime. I have read tons of books in my lifetime and I am going to list 8 of the ones that I have read so far that I think everyone needs to read. I chose all these books for different reasons and I will write that next to the title & author of the books.
1984 by George Orwell– I read this book when I was in high school and I find it crazy how some of the things that happened in this book are happening in our country now. I think that everyone needs to read this book because it is an amazing book and it is an eye opener.
Fearless by Eric Blehm-This is about one of the Navy Seals from Seal Team 6 that went in and killed Osama Bin Laden. He was shot during the firefight and this is a story written about his life. I cried through parts of this book because he had an amazing story and I feel so bad for his wife and children who lost him way too soon.
The Milestone Tapes by Ashley Mackler-Paternostro– I am not sure if I can even tell you how much I loved this book. I cried through a lot of this book and I still loved it. It is an amazing story and something I think I would do if I had young children and knew I was going to pass away from cancer before they children had grown to be an adult. She basically makes tapes for her daughter for all the big things she knows her daughter will go through as she is growing up without her.
Stress Test by Richard L. Mabry– I put this one on here because I love a good medical thriller and this one delivered on that. If you lost suspense/thrillers than I know you will love this one. (If you click on the title you will be directed to my review on this book)
Anomaly by Krista McGee– I think everyone should read this one because it is about a dystopian society but it brings God into the story and I loved that about this book. The next book in the series comes out in January and I can’t wait to read it.
The Beloved Daughter by Alana Terry-I just read this book recently and I have to say that I loved everything about it. I loved learning about what was going on during this book and I also had to wonder how many people really lived this story. It take place in North Korea and it broke my heart to read and I was also sad because you don’t know what really happens at the end.
The Girl In The Box by Sheila Dalton– I read this book a few years ago and I really enjoyed it because like the book The Beloved Daughter I have to wonder how many people really live like this and how many times things like this happen to people.
Defending Jacob by William Landay– I loved this one because you get to see how some people think and you also get to see what some people will do for their children. I don’t know if my child did something like his does I am not sure how I would handle it and what I would do.
Do you have any suggestions for books that I should read?
The Beloved Daughter by Alana Terry was one of the best books I have read in a long time. When I was first contacted by the author I thought it sound like it would be a good book to read but I never expect to be touched so deeply by the book. I took me about a chapter to get into the story and after that I was hooked and literally read the whole book while I was at work one day because I had to know how it ended. I felt so bad for all the characters and yet at the same time I was so proud of most of the characters. I do have say that some of the characters did shock me and weren’t who I thought they were but I love when that happens because it so rarely happens anymore with the amount of books I read. I can’t say more because I refuse to give the ending away but I recommend this book to everyone because it is amazing and so thought provoking at the same time.

Beloved by Robin Lee Hatcher was an amazing book. I really enjoyed this book. I read this book in a few hours because the author did such a good job of grabbing my attention from the first page and didn’t want to put it down. I understood so much about Diana because she seems so much like me that I understood her choices and I also wanted the best for her. In this story you get to see Diana as her husband comes back into her life just as she was about to announce her engagement to a new gentlemen. She thought that her husband had been killed because he was gone for years and he had no contact with anyone in his family. You get to watch Tyson prove to his wife that he loves her and that he wants the marriage to work. I loved everything about this book and the characters. I can’t wait to check out more books by this author because her writing grabs me from the first page.
About The Book
Diana is ready to begin a new chapter in her life-until the husband she believed dead reappears at her engagement party.
Diana Brennan came west on the orphan train and was given a home with a loving couple who cherished and spoiled her. At 17, she fell hard for Tyson Applegate, the son of a wealthy mine owner. After a whirlwind courtship and marriage, Tyson took off for adventures around the world, including fighting with the Rough Riders in Cuba. Receiving no word from him in years, Diana’s infatuation with her dashing husband died an ugly death, and she is ready to move past the old pain and marry again, just as soon as Tyson is declared legally dead.
But when Tyson returns, claiming to be a changed man, he wants to reunite with his wife and run for the senate. While Diana suspects the election is his real reason for wanting her by his side, she agrees to maintain his home and to campaign with him, but when it is over, win or lose, she wants her freedom.
He agrees with one condition—she must give him a chance to change her mind about him.
