Kissed By A Cowboy by Debra Clopton was an excellent book. This is the third book in the series, and you can just read this one if it is the only one that interests you. I do want to say that if you wish to read the entire series start at the beginning because this book will give things away if you start with it. I think Jarrod is my favorite character from this series because he seemed like he was the most relatable to me and someone I could see myself getting along with in the real world. I felt sorry for Cassidy and everything that she had gone through while growing up and even the things she went through as an adult. I think this book is the most relatable and one that most people will love. I can’t say enough great things about this series and this author writing. I think that most people would enjoy this book and series.

Ian Leaf’s Fraud, Fraudsters and Scams was an interesting book to read. I am glad it was a shorter book because I don’t know that I could have gotten through it if it had been longer. This book walks you through setting up an Instagram account for your business as well as what to post on it and how to use hashtags and think like that. I haven’t gotten into Instagram for my blog but after reading this book, I think I am going to try and see if it really will help me build a bigger audience. This book is written in plain English and isn’t something that you wouldn’t understand if you are 100% knowledgeable on Instagram and how it works. I am going to test out what this book says to do and in a few months, I will come back and let you know how it all worked out for me.

Murder On Safari by Peter Riva was an amazing book to read. This book is a thrill and I love that it takes you out of the United States and puts you into a situation that you most likely have never experienced. I love this because you can really can imagine something like this happening which always makes books better to me. I loved everything about this book and I loved how I felt like I understood what was going on and like I was there with the characters. I am a huge fan of thrillers and this book didn’t let me down in least. If you love thrillers than I know you will love this book as much as I did. A Respectable Actress by Dorothy Love was an amazing historical fiction book. I have read several books by this author and I loved each of them so this book had big shoes to fill and in short I loved everything about this book. I love this authors style of writing because she can make you understand how the characters are feeling and why they do the things that they do. I also love that she uses just enough details so you don’t get lost in the details but you also can understand why and what is going on with the characters. I liked India throughout the entire book and I wanted everything to work out for her. If you love historical novels than you aren’t going to want to miss book.

Breathless by Becki Brannen was a fun book to read. I have read several books with similar plots to this one but I still really enjoyed this story and the author’s writing. I know that from the start Ryan not being up front and honest with Carly is going to end up badly because it always does but I was still interested in reading the rest of the story because I want to know how it all worked out and how long Ryan was able to keep pretending he wasn’t famous. Even though I know the pattern that these books follow I still couldn’t stop reading until I was done with the book and I always love books like that. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves chick lit books.

Avalon: a Heartwarming True Cat Story by Vanessa Morgan was such a good book to read. As most of you know I am a total cat person so when the author contacted me about reviewing this book I knew I had to. I can’t say no to books written about cats because they always make me laugh and I can imagine whatever is going on happening with my own cats. Now that being said I am so glad that neither of my cats are as crazy as Avalon but I still couldn’t help but laugh at the things that he did because I could totally see some cat do everything he did and more. I like the author couldn’t/wouldn’t get rid of my cat just because they were acting all sorts of crazy. If you are an animal person or if you want to read a story that will leave you smiling than I would for sure recommend this book to you.

I haven’t taken part in the writer’s workshop for a few months and when I saw prompt number 3 which is to share a book review I knew I wanted to share a few books that I have read in the past few weeks so that if you are looking for a great summer read you have a few ideas. It was hard for me to pick just a few of the books so if you are looking for more ideas you can click here and it will take to you all the reviews I have done.

Those are just a list of some of the books that I have read in the past few months and have loved. I wish I had more time to read books other than ones that are sent to me to review so that I could read some of the books written by some of my favorite authors.

Miracle At The High Grounds Cafe by Max Lucado was a great book to read. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book when I first started it but once I was a few chapters into the book I didn’t want to put it down. There were aspects of this book that I had never seen before and I loved that about this book. I don’t want to spoil any of it with you guys so I won’t go into the details of this book but it was an amazing book. I also like this one more than others I have read because it is a shorter book and lately with the headaches I have been getting I am not able to read much so shorter books are great for me right now. If you love Christian fiction than you don’t want to miss this one!

Shelf Life by Christina George was a great sequel to “The Publicist“. I started this one the minute after I finished “The Publicist” because I was so in love with the characters and I had to know what happened next in the series. In this book I really started to love Mac more and I saw more why she had a hard time going choosing which one to be with. I think I liked this book more than the first one because you got to see more of who Kate really is and I love seeing her rebuild her life. I loved reading about what it is like in the publishing world because I know what it is like for those of us who review books so I love getting a glimpse in to what happens with authors and getting the books published.
