The Hearts We Mend by Kathryn Springer was an excellent book.  I have to admit that I didn’t realize that this was part of a series until I was a few chapters in and the for some reason it clicked in my head.  I then went back and read my review of the first book because I wondered how I felt about it and I had to laugh because in the book I didn’t like Evie at all.  But in this book I loved her right from the start.  It is funny how you can like someone that you hated in the first book, but once the story is told through their eyes, you love them.  I can’t say enough good things about this book and the author.  I loved just about everything about this book and it was one that I read super quick because I had to know it all worked out.  This book is one that I will be adding to my personal collection of books.  If you love romance novels than I know, you will love this one just as much as I did.

Kathryn Springer, winner of the 2007 Write Touch Reader’s Award (long contemporary), grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. Back In The Saddle by Ruth Logan Herne was a good book to read.  This is the first book I have read by this author and I am so glad that I read this book because I now have another great author that I can add to my list of great authors that I want to read in the future.  I really like all the characters in this book right from the start.  I did spend most of the book hoping that Colt wouldn’t leave after the market recovered and what not.  I am going to come back and update this review on March 30th because I signed up to review this book twice.  So I will finish this review then and let you know how I felt about it over all at the end of March.

An Amish Year by Beth Wiseman was an excellent book.  I love books like this because I love the shorter stories and the fact that I can read through one quickly and move on to a new thing.  I liked that they put definitions of some of the words that the Amish use so that if you haven’t read books in this genre before you will be able to understand and follow along with the stories.  I have read enough books that I don’t need the information, but if you are new, then I know you will love it.  Out of the four stories that are in this book, I think I liked the first story the most.  I felt like I could relate to Rosemary out of all the characters and her story was my favorite out of the four stories.  I would recommend this book to people who don’t have tons of time to read because since they are short stories you can just read one and then put it down and walk away from it for awhile without having to remember what happened before.

Kissed By A Cowboy by Debra Clopton was an excellent book.  This is the third book in the series, and you can just read this one if it is the only one that interests you.  I do want to say that if you wish to read the entire series start at the beginning because this book will give things away if you start with it.  I think Jarrod is my favorite character from this series because he seemed like he was the most relatable to me and someone I could see myself getting along with in the real world.  I felt sorry for Cassidy and everything that she had gone through while growing up and even the things she went through as an adult.  I think this book is the most relatable and one that most people will love.  I can’t say enough great things about this series and this author writing.  I think that most people would enjoy this book and series.

Beyond The Silence by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse was an excellent book. The one bad thing I can say about this book is the fact that I did find a typo which bugged me. I am used to finding them from time to time because I do read a bunch or ARC or “advanced reader copies” where you see them because they haven’t been edited yet when we get those types. I shocked with this on because as far as I know it is the final copy that will be sold. It wasn’t a huge mistake it just made me read the sentence a few times to make sure that I wasn’t just reading it wrong.

Anyway, let’s get on with the review of this book. I liked Lillian from the first page right through the end of the book, but I was an even bigger fan of Woody because I felt so sorry for him and his son Jimmy. I saw a lot of the town I grew up in Angels Camp so I felt like I really could understand how hard it had to be on Woody to live in a town where people hate you for something you didn’t do or even who they assume you are. You can learn so much from this book while you are reading that I would recommend it to everyone. Not only did I learn things I actually enjoyed the story. This book was an excellent escape from real like for me.

A Sons Vow by Shelley Shepard Gray was another great book.  I love all of the books about the Amish that Shelley has written, but if I am honest, this book has to be one of my favorites.  I like Darla from the start and even though I didn’t like some of the things that Aaron did I had a soft spot for him because felt he was more relatable than some other characters.  I am a huge fan of these books because I love that I don’t have to worry about what will be in the books, and they always are such sweet stories.  I would recommend this genre to anyone who is looking for a change in what they are reading because I don’t think that anyone would hate these books.  They are always easy reading and great stories.  I love that I always feel good after I finish one of the books, and I know you will probably love it as well.

The Divorce Papers by Susan Rieger was such a strange book for me.  It was an interesting book but it was strange in the fact that it was all just emails, memo’s and things like that back and forth between all the characters in the book.  I have never before read a book like this before but it was interesting after I was about 20 pages into the book.  It did take awhile for me to get into it but once I was I didn’t want to put it down.  There are parts that I don’t know if they were meant to be funny but they did make me laugh because I could see things like this really being said.  It is a book that I would tell you to give a chance because it is a great book it just takes time to get going.  I liked that there aren’t any really chapters in this book so I could just read a page or two and be able to stop.  I think anyone would like this book and I would recommend this one to everyone.

If I Run by Terri Blackstock

If I Run by  Terri Blackstock was another great suspense/thriller novel.   This is the 4th book I have read by this author, and I am starting to think that she can’t write a bad book.  I always get sucked into the books from the first chapter right up through the end of the book.  Once the book ends I find that I am usually sad because I have fallen in love with the characters and hate that the book has ended, and this book was no different.  I wasn’t sure if I liked Casey throughout most of the book but in the end, I did enjoy her.  I had a soft spot for Dylan because of the things he went through and for being a veteran.  I love this book because I wasn’t able to figure it out super early on which means that I love it.  If you love suspense/thriller books, I know you will love this book as much as I do.

20 Short Ones by Dan Salerno was a good book that I was able to get through  pretty quickly.  I loved that each story in this book can teach you something different and I was able to learn from each one.  I love that this book has god in it and things like that but none of it is shoved down your throat so even if you aren’t super religious I still think you would enjoy this book.  If I has to pick a favorite story it would be  the second story in the book.  I liked this one because I could see myself in Tilley and I felt so bad for her.  If you love reading short stories than I know you will love this book because you can just read one or two of them when you have a few extra minutes to your self.

Mermaid Moon by Colleen Coble is the second book in the Sunset Cove series.   I haven’t read the first book in the series so I am not sure what it was about but I do wish now that I would have read the other book because I did wonder about some of the back stories.  With that being said you will be fine and able to get through the book without reading them in order but is plan on reading the series then I would start with the first book.

Anyway, let’s get on to the review for this book.  I really like this book from the first chapter through the end of the book.  Even though I was able to understand what was happening I do wish that I was able to know parts of the back story but that is mainly because I  am super nosy and just wonder what happened to Mallory’s mom and that back story but that didn’t make the book hard to understand.  I don’t know that I have ever read a book by Colleen Coble that I haven’t liked and this another amazing book by her.  She was a way of making you sit on the edge of your seat and her writing also makes me love her characters.  If you are looking for amazing books than I would for sure check out any books by her.  If you love mystery/suspense novels then you will love this book as much as I do.
