Mama’s Losin’ It

This week for the writers workshop I am going to write about 1.) What was your big dream for yourself when you were 18 and had graduated from high school?

The one dream I had when I graduated was to finish college and become a nurse.  I wanted to work in either the ER or as a life flight nurse.  I feel like I gave up on my dreams because I got pregnant and then lost the will to go back to school.  I am hoping that one day I will go back and finish my degree but I don’t know if it will happen.  I also am not sure if I even want to be a nurse anymore.

This is a short post but oh well!  I want to welcome all my new followers and tell everyone that reads my blog thank you!

  5. I know exactly how you feel! I finished my degree after having my 1st child (while pregnant with the 2nd) and only did it out of sheer determination to finish. I knew it wasn't really what I wanted to do anymore so after the 2nd baby was born, I went to grad school. I'm so glad I made it a priority to go back and finish even though I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom afterward for awhile! You have plenty of time to follow your dreams as well. Good luck to you.

  11. It is okay if your dreams change. Even just a few years ago, I wanted to get a Master's in Nursing. Now, I am back in school working on a psychology degree.

I think as we change, our dreams can and do change. It is hard to let go of our old dreams, but sometimes it is good for us to.
